Goose is the best tdm map for ut2k4.

u pick 100a +50a and got 35 sec for chasing till the next 100a...

He tells you that in UT2k4 you don't play agressive for the first 3 minutes and then turn into +back-monster for next 7 minutes like you do on some maps in QL. You have to fight and be agressive all the time.

I did not use sarcasm in this post, it was my honest opinion. Will try to explain:

Think of qzdm13 or ztntourney1. On midskill-level the games often look like this:

Player 1 (P1) gets YA-RA Spawn and manages to kill Player 2 (P2) before the next major item.

P1 grabs both MH and RA and perhaps even one YA after the first kill and starts to rush/spawnrape P2.

After 3-4 aditional kills/spawnkills P1 goes turtle-mode, times Items and only takes fights where he will win without reciving much damage (why should he pick risky fights? The frags will come to him anyway if he holds control!).

The first agressive-gamepart lasts like 2-3 max 4 minutes the remaining 8-6 minutes it will be P1 +backing like the germans +backed out of Sowiet Union in WWII and P2 will try hard to get grip on major items and rush/kill P1. --> Lame game with almost no intensive fights.

What I saw untill now from UT2k4 is constant CC-Fights with lots of action. Maybe that's because I've watched the wrong demos or maybe it's because you don't have to think about Items that much in UT and can take more risks. I dunno for me it simply seems to be the more agressive game of the two, plus movement in fights is way more fast in UT2k4 compared to QL or Quake in general (except CPMA).

makes some sense.. although if u know your enemy has the better spawn u wont play aggro and give away frags so..
might it as it be fair point :)
