Buy a small desk and play russian style? I don't really understand the layout in the picture very well.

There's not room for a computer desk - well there is but it'd just be randomly plonked in the middle of the room with wires everywhere. Unless I binned the tv (old style CRT is MASSIVE). Trying to minimilse somewhat - it's not a great place so I'm trying to style it up a bit.

Wall mounted tv will solve most issues but that's the end of months bonus, in the meantime...!

Just get a board to put your mousepad on and then have that next to your thigh.

Therefore, keyboard on lap, mouse next to you.

Alternatively, if you played like me (with numpad) you could have the keyboard next to you and the mouse on your lap (on the board), which might be more comfortable for long gaming sessions.

I played on my couch for a while, most important thing what I noticed is that I needed something for my mousepad so it wouldn't wibblewobble around when playing.

Also the wire gets in the way & sometimes gets caught - not an ideal setup, playable but not great. Any quick reaction movement & you're fucked.

I just put my cable beneath something heavy, never had any problems with it.

I play with keyboard on lap due to space restraints , but i cant imagine playing any other way , its definitely the most cofortable way of playing.
