If you're working out hard, then you'll get calluses on your hands.
That is if you're actually working out hard and not as you'd say 'furiously masturbating'. That said, it can also cause calluses if you're frantic enough
Deadlifting 190kg isn't working out hard bro? please be quiet. You won't instantly get calluses from heavy lifting and working out and trust me I do workout.
I was merely saying that to develop a callus from gaming alone is a sign you desperatly need to strengthen yourself.
Calluses from Deadlifts are inevitable: the pressure of the barbell against your bones promotes callus formation, and wearing gloves will not prevent this. You actually must grow calluses because without this layer of protection your hands will always hurt whenever you do heavy Deadlifts, Barbell Rows or Pull-ups.
rofl wtf? i get callous on my hands from working out and bowling.. but from gaming lol??? what do you play pound ur hand into your desk and play for 12 hours a day?
I'm on the computer more than twelve hours a day and I don't think I've had this in a long time. that's probably because I have my arms/elbows on my desk, like you're actually supposed to.
I don't think it would make much of a difference, it's the way I hold my mouse. I.e. 45 degree angle, balanced on my wrist. I don't have space to put more of my arm on the desk and I wouldn't find it comfortable. And when I do do that, I am still holding my mouse in the same way.
But my skin isn't broken or anything like the picture above, it's just hard and smooth.
I have fucked up wrists/fingers from playing the drumset most of my life and have screws and wires holding my left wrist together. Sometimes I have to quit playing for a couple of days when it starts hurting like crazy
I think it's pretty weird to get calluses on your wrist from playing or just using the PC much... I mean, are you using a soft pad or something?
I got calluses on my fingers from playing guitar. Also weirdly enough I have them on my ankle since when I sit down I tend to sit on my own foot because it's just more comfortable but on my desk chair it has little rivets sticking out so it's kinda callused up
This. I can't even feel the texture of my qck+ with my left hand fingers but my right wrist actually feels so polished and smooth ( + no red mark ) I'll probably stash a few clothpads and rub my face on them when I get wrinkles.
Two of my fingers are very dry and cracked with the skin peeling off (not very painful but still a bit), but that's not even even gaming's fault.
Cba putting some gay lotion on them every day so I just use a soft cotton glove for my right hand. Need a mouse that isn't too slippery and has a good grip (mx518 does the job, will try the Valor soon).
I have calluses on:
* fingertips from playing guitar
* knuckles from various martial arts
* palms from weight lifting
* knees and top of the feet from BJJ
And then I guess everyone has that callus on their middle finger from writing.
yeah, its just the way people hold their mouse. I spend 8+ hours a day on the computer and don't have the calluses. I don't touch my mouse pad at all though, I sit up straight and rest my whole hand on the mouse.
Its because of how much pressure you push down onto the desk/pad with. Personally I'm very light with my mouse as I think it makes it better for aiming, and it would be uncomfortable to push down hard anyway.
Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such excellent info being shared freely out there. daaeefeeeeag
Magnsium chloride + sodium borate = normally low levels with today diet, magnesium and boron are key for sinovial fluids helath regulating the balance between too much or too little "liquid" (its more like a strong gel)
Vitamin D from the sun, natural super antiinflamatory, immune boosting, anticancer hormone (if your liver and kidney are healthy and your body can process the 25-OHD steroid hormone wrongly called vitamin d)
And mosty importantly, at least 2 wanks per day one with each hand.
