For fps the only real choice is the Zowie Mico as the m90-100 have pretty poor sensor afaik.

WMO is nice, but is a lot bigger than the other mice you mentioned. Go for either the Mico or WMO depending on which shape you prefer.

I made the mistake of buying a M110 last weekend after reading a post about it here. Looking back on it the guy didn't seem to know what he was talking about, haha. Oh well, the mouse was only 15$.

The sensor was pretty bad, even at 500hz I could get it to skip, it's malfunction speed is much lower than the WMO. The worst part however is the "sensibility" of the sensor: when making very small movements on my QCK+, the sensor would have trouble picking them up accurately. Don't waste your money on that mouse, and pick up a Mico if you want a small mouse. If you think you can get a jitter-free version the Abyssus is very good also, it's a bit lighter than the WMO and it feels less bulky. After using the Abyssus (I use it even if it jitters a bit, for now) I find it much easier to be accurate in vertical movements, such as aiming up to rail at someone @ top of the RL jumppad in DM6 from the bottom. The WMO's bigger size makes these up-down movements inaccurate, which I didn't really mind at the time but it's very noticeable now! The Abyssus feels effortless in that regard. One last thing, I was told the Abyssus works jitter-free on the goliathus speed mousepad, but I haven't tried it personally.

well for 15$ you didnt really expected a gaming grade mouse didnt you? just because if it would be game grade they could sell it for 40$ while staying competitive and raising their profits. you didnt really expected logitech handing out free money?

for me my pc costs about 70$ so yeah i guess a 100$ mouse doesnt makes sense

although tbh, you can claw most mice, aslong as they're not shaped like the mx5xx series, eg. i'm able to claw the ms 3.0/deathadder/xai and wmo/kinzu shapes.

Yeah I've been using the deathadder for 4 years and it's alright for claw grip but I don't like how big it is and the glossy sides are awful.

well the kinzu arent as bad as some people make it out to be either. without driver at least im ok with it, until a reasonable mouse hits the market again. that coming from someone changed from a diamondback 3g.

Here's how it works:

Yes, your mouse (usually) is keeping a constant Hz, or more accurately, Windows has been told to poll (read) the mouse at a certain Hz, and it will do so as best it can.

If you move your mouse fast, then EVERY time Windows polls the mouse, there has been some mouse movement since the last poll, and Windows reads that movement and sends it to MouseMovementRecorder.exe (MMR).
MMR measures the time since the last mouse input, turns that into a Hz value and prints it.

If you move your mouse slow, Windows will poll the mouse and NO movement has happened since the last poll, and the mouse reports "nothing happened". Windows doesn't do anything; it doesn't send any movement to MMR.

At some speeds, there is only enough mouse movement to send a single 1 count movement every SECOND poll, so there are 2 polls between each movement. MMR will record 250Hz.

Even slower, maybe only enough movement so that every 10th poll returns data. MMR will show 50Hz. Even slower, maybe only ... you get the idea...

MouseMovementRecorder uses DirectInput to read the mouse. DirectInput uses Raw Input (WM_INPUT) to read the mouse and passes it back to MouseMovementRecorder.

If you are using Raw Input (WM_INPUT), then what I explained about how MouseMovementRecorder works, applies to your program also.

If you are not using Raw Input, then please let us know what you are using, I'd like to know how to read mouse movement without using Raw Input.

i use linux and a xai, so i couldn't give less of a fuck if your mousemovement recorder does not do want you want it to do with your wmo.

thing is, this program does not report the correct value at (very) low speeds, i was under the impression that was common knowledge. i doubt your 3.0 reports steady hz tbh.

Would it be possible to put the g9x sensor into the logitech mini optical? I've got a dead lmo and a useless g9x. Problem is no clue how to go about modding, Apart from stripping the base down and seeing if the g9x inside fits the lmo. The wiring,soldering all seems impossible without the right tools and know how.

I'd like to try it having the right tools and idea of where I'd need to solder,wire if any decent modders care to explain would be nice.

i'm using a Logitech m100 and it doesnt' skip at all...

I did a quick test with Enotus and it could track until 2.77 m/s (!!!)
Not even my mx518 arrives at that speed (it stops around 2.11 m/s).

In Quake Live I found more difficolt to Rail with it (I think cause of prediction) but I'm finding LG very very accurate.

Until now, it's even better than the mx518 as sensor.

you must make sure that enotus detects the real DPI you are using, or the test gives wrong data.

be carefull, it does skips sometimes, its very rare, but i ended looking at the sky sometimes

how are you getting the m100 over 125hz? mine seems to be locked at that. I am using hidusbf properly and whatnot, it gets my wmo to 500hz...

I got the mico. Used it for a few days and went back to the WMO.

Meant to write a review but sorry I got kinda lazy.

Just made a short test with Instagib VS MS IE 3.0: no way, the m100 miss something that the IE 3.0 has...
In particular, flick shots are A LOT more easier with the IE 3.0 (same hz, 500).
I believe that the sensor of the M100 has an HIGH tracking speed but must have some Jitter that makes it not registering correctly small mouse movements...
Or maybe it's just a questione of prediction...
I remember it bothers me even with the MX518 (not that much though): it helps a little with LG, it's a total shit with the Railgun.
Anyway, 30-35% accudracy on the m100 vs 45% on the IE 3.0 it's a HUGE difference

Is the logitech m90 sensor still 18 pins? I remember a batch, where they used a very bad 8 or 12 pins sensor for it. But thats 2 years ago.

Hi I'm valar, I play a lot of osu with a mouse and to me the mico jumpbug was very frustrating.

Q:What is the mico jump bug?
A:Every once in a while when moving the mouse the cursor will jump several pixels on the x-Axis, this happens at seemingly random intervals.

You can easily test this bug by opening paint, selecting the pen and drawing vertical lines up and down over and over again for a while.Get a book and put it next to your mouse to ensure that you aren't making any major horizontal movements.When the bug occurs the cursor jumps several pixels on the x-Axis despite the lack of equivalent vertical mouse movement.

The "mico jump bug" has been confirmed by zowie to manifest itself in all current generation micos.

As for a recommendation, I have tiny hands and fingertipping - I have tried mico, g100 and the g9x.

using the g100.. (shellless g9x shape is best)

I would be considering:
g100 (at 500 dpi I cant find anything wrong with it, shape?)
g100s (idk)
cm storm spawn (firmware is fixed now? is it good? IDK)
abyssus (jitter? IDK)
g9x (inconsistent sensor? sensor placement?)

but maybe you would be happier with a larger mouse? IDK

Overall though I would just say stick with the WMO.
Cheapest, No promlems and good shape.

I have a logitech m100 which I use on my laptop, the shape of it is great for me. Unfortunately the sensor just doesn't feel good for fps-gaming, I don't know exactly what's wrong with it.

The sides on it have the perfect height and straight \ / shape for how I want to grip. I'm disappointed that the sides on the g100s curve instead of being straight like on this mouse. The "ass" of the mouse fits really well in the back of my palm when I claw it with my trigger fingers at the front of M1 and M2.

If the mouse had a good sensor, better switches for the buttons and preferably better scrollwheel as well as dpi switching it would very likely be my gaming mouse. Wouldn't hurt if it was slightly lighter either, I don't know if there are weights inside.

tl;dr: shape of m100 is good, the rest is bad
