Will it fail just as the other REAL NGL events have? I don't think they ran any successful leagues aside from clan arena in like, 2008. Also, draft is cool and all but when will NA get some real team vs team leagues back :[

Its a shame...there is a crap ton of talent in NA but it appears egos always get in the way. All I know is tdm needs to come back to NA! If teams form and people stop whining about losing at first and work as a team...life would be good!!

This is one reasom gaming doesn't work, To many people think they can make a better league than the already existing ones. This is why we have small prizepots because the sponsors don't know where to put their money.

nah if the game was active the organizers would always be few. So it's not the leagues fault, it might help if we had only a few leagues but really, it's due to the activity of the teamplayers. Or their egos..

If ESL fixed their site and made it alot simpler to use, People will start actully using the site which will lead to ESL being able to run leagues that players will participate in, So then they can start doing weekly shows like they use to for example ESL UK EPS.

Well it was just an example it could be other things aswell.

But how would you make it stand out? I don't think all the leagues are so bad that a well-run league would be like a miracle.. I don't think there would be much of a difference.

Well the old ESL UK EPS show is the best example, If they brought that back for the ESL German EPS because that's the main EPS for europe.

If ESL make it the main league of europe they know they can pump more money into it to give the players to aim for plus give inspiring players something to aim for. Also for the viewers aswell because it's a structured show they know when it's on (something I find ESL can't do) and it gives the viewers something to follow.

He ran a tourney or two in Q3 called triple threat using a similar format. Was pretty fun.

I like this tourney idea. In Quake 3 there was one similar called Triple Threat that ran great and was a blast.

Tourneys will never fail if there are players that just play for the love of the game. Don't doubt a tourney coming up and guess whether it will fail or not, rather just register and have some fun!
