Just tried the mod.

Pretty cool, though the movement feels awkward. My strafe jump pattern only works for a little while before it stops short in it`s tracks, while anywhere else I can usually keep up a good strafe run. Maybe it is FPS or something, but I thought I would note it just in case.

if you have full release + patch 3 .. :

you pick up speed, by pressing strafe left or right when you land, and jumping straight away, and you can pickup extra speed when coming down to land and pressing left or right strafe, without alot of practice should result in



if you are in the air, you need to stop pressing direction keys, then press the direction you want to go and zig zag left and right strafe to increase speed and distance, which should should result in



q43a strafe jump/hopping uses the same principle as q3 and having to move the mouse around

if you set a custom player run speed in your server setup you can change the ratio of strafe jumping by adding cvars

g_hopscale
g_airScale

you the serverconfig.cfg for dedicated servers

someone got excited and unarchived Q43A on moddb so i uploaded a repack that includes all patches etc and server launcher..

all other download files have been deleted so this is the only working link

pack does :

windows singleplayer, multiplayer client, listen servers, dedicated servers
linux singleplayer, multiplayer client, listen servers, dedicated servers

just upload the q43a as is, if you want servers to work, all pk4 are needed clientside, for those to download onconnect, and structure and names are done so all pk4 will be downloaded, and work on windows and linux with dll in the single pk4
