Just join directly using ip adress:

/connect 213.163.64.115:27960 (big random clan arena server)
/connect 194.187.43.245:27955 (password free duel server)

If you need more of them just hop on IRC and ask.

the master server doesnt work FOR ANYONE. basically id soft stopped providing it. So the list of servers will never show up.
Just use quakeservers.net or IRC.
