This is our first venture into Quake Live, and it certainly won't be our last. Our previous events have all been live events, our online content is in addition to those.

Should Quake players and fans show the want for more of our tournaments, be assured we will answer to those needs.

A small QL tourney on the ET lan would be sweet as well :) (if thatll still happen)

To be fair, you already have zotacs to value the interest for ql duel and it's quite stable.

But I would play duel tournaments without prize like at the beginning of ql.

cups every day (EQLT and such) that was cool.

True, perhaps this cup series can be oriented more towards the casual gamers, rather than the ones who are aiming for some cash :)

Yeah my dream would be a regular tournament with a "swiss system" (wikipedia), so in the later round everyone can play against people with a similar skill level and they would be motivated to play.

Signups are too slow, and if there is interest in making it 32 again I will.

There is no reason to have any cap on players, you can always just add an extra round if more sign up. Also typically I wouldn't sign up to tournaments that have check ins earlier than needed, it just makes no sense (see zotac where 95% of all players sign up in the hour leading up to the cup).

The check-in period is open right up until the cup starts, so people can still sign up during that time.

As for the cap on players, it was me who asked him to do that because it lets us know where we are in terms of schedule. Extra rounds cost extra time, and with this being a Saturday afternoon, we wouldn't want to keep anybody back later than we initially intended.

This isn't to say we won't leave the player count entirely open for future tournaments, the more the merrier. Just wasn't something we were going to do this time around, but thanks for the feedback. It's all appreciated.
