Since I have lots of issues with my internet/isp (like internet turning off all the time, warping, speed issues and so on, while all my cables/router/model seems fine) i decided to install quake 3 on my pc and play some vq3/cpma/defrag.

I just LOVE THE DINAMYCS OF DA GAME!!! i dunno, myabe it is placebo, but in q3 railing/lg "locking" is really easier and the physics feel nicer.

But i have some questions, cfg related:

1) how to set my display refresh to 75 in vq3/cpma/defrag?
2) how to change the color of xhair to yellow (shame)?
3) is there a green keel force model in vq3/cpma? How to set it?
4) what is the + xhair cg_drawcrosshair number in vq3/cpma (shame)?
5) how to set the lg shaft style in vq3/cpma to 2nd lg style of ql?
6) how to get rid of square plasma balls?
7) is there any air rocket practice maps for vq3/cpma?
8) how to set a custom map with /giveall and /god?

Thats all for now :) i know, that the question are really VERY noobish, but i have no idea, how to set that

QW and Q2 multiplayer both were solid entries in the series but i think Q3 built on what they already established and as such had a more competitive reach in terms of attraction due to it being featured in more competitions/tourneys etc. the first 3 titles of the game had a much larger following than any of the subsequent titles ever had.

no. q3 is a dumbed down version of what was possible in qw/q2 and that's coming from someone madly in love with that game.

Built on what? Q2 took away from QW, and Q3 was basically Q2 with minor differences. Tournaments have little to do with it, but I'm pretty sure every Q3 tourney combined has yet to equal the prize money of every QW tourney combined.

the average price for a new ferrari is around 250.000$. the ferrari thresh won used to be carmack's so it was a second hand car. nowadays the price for the same model is around 50.000$. still not convinced. sorry :)

my point is that a 10 year old ferrari is not so valuable that it could alone defend/explain his arguments. its valuable, but 2-3 q3 tournaments can easily cover its value in prizemoney.

seems to me you don't have one either. are you vedic? haven't seen such butthurt comments coming from random commenters. did you know that the ferrari thresh won was 10 years old? do you know that cars lose most of their value in the first 10 years? i'm not saying that it was worth 50.000$ when it was awarded. but claiming qw prizemoney exceeds q3 prizemoney and then providing the only argument "FERRARI"........ nigga plz

cg_nomip <#bitmask> (default = 1023 - all r_picmip 0)
Allows changing graphics to picmip 0 setting, regardless of current r_picmip setting. Changes require vid_restart.
1 - Lightning
2 - Plasma
4 - Rocket and Grenade explosions
8 - Grenades (the grenade ITSELF, not the same as 4)
16 - Bullets (machinegun and shotgun)
32 - Railgun
64 - BFG
128 - Blood
256 - Smoke
512 - Rockets (the projectile, not the same as 4)

7) When you find some please post them.
8) devmap mapname (\devmap q3dm17 for example)

Btw, if you have irc join #edawn for some cpma/cq3, cpma/vq3, or edawn q3 duels. I don't know of any other active irc channels used for vanilla/cq3 game play. For cpm games check out cpmpickup. Hf, and cya on #edawn (hopefully).
