To have Limbus (TDM) and Sinister (Duel) added to Quake Live.
In fact I'd much rather pay a small sum for those, rather than older classics as they ~~most likely~~ ~~probably~~ ~~hopefully~~, albeit with slim chance in spite of my otherwise optimistic thinking, will add more of them in time. I mean, Camper Crossings is a classic for cpma regulars, and it was added, so PQL is on the rise. Sort of. They don't have much to work with, but they're coming.

Anyway, who's with me?

How do the copyright laws prevent my paying a few bucks directly to id software to help support the addition of two maps that the authors (supposedly?) do not claim any need for royalties for?

I can see what you mean about the older classic maps, sure, but not the two mentioned ones :x

Obviously, but that was a contest of some sort, wasn't it? I mean, if they'd do that again it would be great. In fact doing it every month for each gametype, or whatever, would be even more awesome.

Im still confident that custom maps will be added but I dont think we can do much more than wait :/

syncerror, please post your account data. i cant stand it any longer. if we cant get these maps by buying premium. then we have to give you extra money. because i cant imagine no other rational reason for holding back maps for 2 years and longer.

Well what does SyncError work on primarily? If it's QL, then I think its fair assuming that his income derives if not wholly then partly from that. And in that case it's reasonable enough to assume that we can just send the cashmonies directly to the man without further ado >:D

Besides, mr. Carmack currently plays and tweets about headmounted displays, the sending of ip packets transatlantic being faster than sending a pixel to the screen of said head mounted display and other stuff.

I don't think it works that way. If they survived based on QL alone, props, but it's a gaming company (now owned by ZeniMax) that most probably doesn't distribute money according to "who" sells most subscriptions.

if you want to help QL,just buy a pro account,if you already have one,go and pay pro/premium accounts to your friends who play QL or to the players that want to became pro in this game but dont have money to pay premium.

other than that,i doubt that you can do anything.
