Then some lazy newbies entered the scene, attracted by QL, but the demos were too difficulty to use, and decided that shitty, issued things called vods were the future; (this, in spite of the develop of wonderful demo players like WOLFCAM )

some poor peoples, called vods streamers, seen the opportunity to make a sense to their lifes, and to become superstars, but to increase their fame and importance, the entire demos system must have been contrasted

The *Esreality True Hardcore, Experienced Players* watched that process without even blinking

The rest is history, and nowadays we will probably not even see the Dreamhack's demos, but if someone will ever post them, stay sure that the VODS will be made instantly, and by different peoples.

You can watch VOD from anywhere (i prefer to watch on my nokia 5800).
You can watch demo only from computer with ql/wolfcam installed.

+/- voice of commentator but it depends on viewer - some ppl get rather frustrated if they need to watch quake with shitty streamer

Sometimes there are a lot of people on the server and nobody record demos, that's what I find odd and pitiful. Also, when a demo comes, it's often followkiller POV, which sucks totally IMO.

If you have the priviledge to be in a good game, at least make a single player POV demo (and post it on esr ofc) !

And followkiller is not even the bigger problem, because it could give the opportunity to watch two different playsyles;
One thing that i really hate is when the match start and the recorder doesn't even follow a player, leaving the camera pointed to a random wall, until he wake up, when the first 5-6 seconds, and the first spawn, are gone;

change recorder with caster and u have an annoying stream experience

and it's usually a clear sign that the caster is either retarded, self-centered or both. None of the good casters is doing it though.

In ESL matches it is mandatory to submit matchmedia, including the demos, and to keep them for a period of time. I wonder why it is not mandatory aswell for participants in Zotac cups and other similar cups to submit them also?

It should be like that for every competition imo, including team games.

true, but esl has resources to have that taken care off properly. other leagues and tournaments not necessarily.
