So far Russia and Holland (even though they lost) looked the best to me. Spain and Italy looked good aswell, Germany disappointed me even though they won.

I only saw the Russia highlights so can't really judge but will be interesting to see how they do (as, by all accounts, the czechs were very poor!). I'm unsure on spain at the moment- I thought overall italy were the better team. Germany pretty much ALWAYS do well in tournaments, be surprised if they don't make the semi finals, As for the dutch- they have so much talent going forward but their defence is SHIT!

So far i was most impressed by Italy. Three at the back? Two forwards? AGAINST FUCKING SPAIN? AND IT ALMOST WORKED REALLY WELL!? Prandelli has balls of steel. Also Balotelli is a sad joke, why the fuck is this guy is still considered an enormous talent and starts games for both club and country is beyond me. Di Natale and Cassano showed him how a true forward plays like, made him look like an amateur.

Russia looked strong, but it was against Czechs and their defence looked sketchy. TONIGHT WE DINE ON PIEROGI, BOLSHOI PIDARS))))

Most boring game of the tourney yet: England - France. Was surprised Ireland - Croatia wasn't it, have to admire Irish hearts, Croatia was clearly the stronger team and still they could potentially draw or even lose if only the ref didn't rob the micks of a deserved penalty late on.

Was a bit disappointed in Germany, but i can't tell if it was due to them not being strong enough, or Portugal being stronger than everyone expected. They were surprisingly well organized and disciplined, deserved a point.

Apparently so, only i thought Italy didn't have the manpower to pull it off, that's why i was so impressed. Another corruption scandal, last minute tactical and roster changes and they play like they couldn't give less of a shit and have been playing together for 20 years (except for SUPER MARIO XD ). Again, impressive stuff.

Yesterday Sweden vs Ukraine had a surprising entertaining 2nd half. I was impressed from Sweden�s fast passing game in Ukraine�s field. Also, Ukraine kept playing offensive after being in the lead, which is very rare and kudos for that.

I guess he's too inexperienced in L�w's eyes. And to be honest I have to agree.
No doubt, he's the most talented guy in German football right now, but he never really played on an international level and the teams in the Euro are a whole different class than teams like Augsburg or Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

Leaving that aside I'd really like to see him, too. Maybe he'll take his chance vs. Denmark.

Hah, sad night for Croatia... Clear penalty not given on Corluka, and at the start of the game in first half on Mand�ukic;. Actually, I didn't see if that foul on Mand�ukic; was in 16, but the guy tore his leg off.

All in all, gg wp Spain, taking both halves in to account, they were the better team. Fortunately for us, we did not concede in the first half and gave them a run for their money in 2nd.

Even though we got knocked out, I'm happy with the display of our team and sad that our fans didn't torch the fucking stadium down with the flares when we finally conceded that goal.

Platini must be really embarrassed now after what he said yesterday.

The linesman there is also not positioned correctly. The bridge of his nose should be aligned with the back side of the goal line so he can easily see if the entire ball crosses the back side of the line/post. Instead his head is 20cm too far in on the field, and from his angle the ball probably didn't look like it crossed.

The fact that is was offside to begin with just makes the situation worse, and Platini's "we see more" is just bullshit. It's obvious that adding more refs won't help, unless he is sitting in front of some TV screens. Players are still getting pulled around inside the box, and the ref standing there looking at them doesn't/can't do shit. And my god....all the time wasted with players rolling on the grass...maybe with a TV ref they wouldn't need to do it to get the refs sympathy and attention.

IMO just stop the game clock like in other sports and theres no incentive to lie on the grass faking injuries anymore, this would also create opportunities to review a video replay because the time is stopped anyway. of course you'd need to shorten the game time to 2x40 or 2x35.

funniest thing for me though is that players just stop playing and throw their hands up in the air at the slightest chance that it might have looked like they were fouled and sacrifice a possible good chance by not playing until the whistle blows. just goes to show how much of a girls sport this really is (from what I've seen Ibrahimovic was especially guilty of this and what do you think what the rest of the team is going to do when your best player is such a sissi)

The players manipulate because the rules allow for it...it would happen in any other sport also.

I mean shevchenko would've probably gotten his knee blown out in any other sport after the hard foul late in the ukraine vs england match given he has a known injury and the guy who fouled him afterwards picked up a yellow card anyway. was this just england keeping their calm instead of sticking up for their guy or do I have a wrong perception of things when I say I there isn't much retaliation in this sport? (honest question I just don't watch it that much)

It will be an epic final for sure, however I think Spanish should raise a monument to their team, their achievements will be marked in history!Personally I think their national selection is even better because this is an old Barca lineup with Xabi Alonso + Iniesta/Xavi duo before he went to Real..
