Becuase he's sponsored by SS and needs to be seen in public using SS gear. Unfortunately, SS don't have anything that could be suitable WMO replacement.
Actually, they finally do. Rapha said he's moving to a Steelseries Kana (which DaHang is using as well). We'll see if he makes the switch before QuakeCon.
What problems? Im willing to get a WMO replacement since mine broke. I've been told to get the Abyssus, but i've heard it jitters like hell on some mouse pads like mine (the QCK heavy), someone recommended me the Zowie one with similar WMO shape, but then got told these have crappy sensors, I have no idea about Steelserie mice..
Whats the best WMO replcement out there? Considering I play with 1280x960 I don't need any more than 400DPI. I also don't want crappy unnacurate stuff like "prediction" etc.
Why is bst mice so hyped up?
I remember everyone hyping up the Kana as the 'definitive WMO replacement' and then when hardcore Quake players tested it it showed it's flaws.
It will take ages for the WMO to arrive. The only way to get them nowadays are from China if you want a new one.
but anyway, im a hardcore fingertip/crawler, I hold the mouse pretty hard sometimes. If I ever clicked the side buttons by accident I would go nuts. I just hate it. I want 2 solid walls at the sides, not something that distracts me, like 2 big ass side buttons.
I think the only decent replacement for the wmo will be the velocity but i cant fucking wait until xmas to play again.
Because kana was just advertised as perfect mouse (every mouse nowadays is)
With bst, you know exactly what are you getting since it's using all known components and it's made by someone who has basic understanding of quaker's needs.
1.- cheap microsoft mouse
2.- black, so it's 100% sure it's the 1.1 sensor (otherwise it's 99.99%)
3.- transparent piece of plastic at the bottom (red) with a crosshair logo
This is a really interesting question, since wmo's default plastic feets aren't really good.
I'd like to say if other players that used wmo, like cooller, used it with the default. I doubt it, but it could be.
does anyone know whether that is a 1.1a or a plain WMO mouse? I can't seem to find any 1.1a in black. So I think Rapha is playing with 125hz (default) since 1.1a by default has 450 DPI whereas the WMO has 400 DPI by default.
But what if you're wrong? There's no 1.1a black anywhere. I wasn't saying that they related, I was using deductive reasoning to track down what mice Rapha used in that picture. I cannot find a black version of the WMO that's 1.1(a).
Yeah I see, you see near the bottom it says the production year #. Mine says 1102 and a product Number X802382 Any idea what year that would be? I really don't know why I can't overclock mine.
Where'd you get that information? Do you know if there are problems that could conflict with the overclock? I'd like to mention I previously had a g700 driver installed but I haven't removed it. I don't know if it conflicts with overclocking on the wmo.
yeah, just got it off amazon. so I assume it's new. I found out it can be overclocked which is a good thing. Now the problem is my computer isn't responding to the HUDUSBF file to sign it.
and also my computer doesn't have bios , it's on UIEFI and I cannot easily disable driver signature enforcement by just pressing F8 going into the bios to turn it off. The files don't work for me for some reason.
