if you watch it from an objective point of view : this is an amazing performance whatsoever on the other hand its not relevant to the mainstream audience of esr and its not edited at all. in addition to that you can take a look at what the other majors are, news of the scene, remarkable frag/trick videos (astonishing due to editing and content) if this vid deserves a major i have a list about 30 other underrated videos who should have been highlighted

its like you have your own quake cup, abut nobody knows about it, but you cant major it on esr bacuse its a small cup. (?)
as you can see, this got a lot of majors already by the community, so people ARE interested, and they DID find this news interesting and worth majoring. i see your point, it has some truth in it, but esr doesnt have to be serious business 24/7.

the doors and buttons on the map are bugges cause the map is in beta phase and gettin refreshed over and over again. the run was on an older version while the one you see is a newer one so it causes bugs. ty for the + comments :) iirc the run took about 2 months or so to make it flawless

edit: seems like the demos got leaked btw cause we wanted to make a long, only team-run map movie...so that project is cancelled now :\

edit2: just looked it up, took 5months 21days for me if i count the first try

Enough been said about performance, but not the map. The whole thing would look 1000x better if the walls were not made of grass dirt. This is my least favorite texture theme in Quake. Wonder why anyone would use it. Especially in defrag, where maps have been absolute eye candy

Not that this really has any relevance to your comment, but the map isn't fully updated, their has been a later version uploaded and the youtube demo uploader doesn't have it, so half of the parts seem to confuse people because that's not how it is really meant to be.

I guess the idea was to go for a Quake 1 look, which works for me, got a nice nostalgic kick out of it.
