Event: DHW'12

After the show tonight with The GD Studio hosted by

2GD and

Trance we now have the groups for the DreamHack Kingston HyperX Quake Live Tournament.

Unfortunately

STING dropped out last minute and we haven't been able to replace him yet. If you want to play contact either blazeh or slayzah in

#DreamHack.Quake or send a mail to esport@dreamhack.se.

Also since STING dropped out we remade the seeds slightly.

empish was moved to mid seed and the player missing is down in low seed.

I'm sure it's related to the keyboard layout and perhaps the language itself. Propably it's just hard (or even impossible) to get ":" on their keyboards, for sure it isn't like a 2-key combination as for example on standard eu layout.

You can anticipate every movement of every opponent and create the demos. If the actual games are different you can claim it's because seeing your predictions influenced their actions so your demos are actually more valid.

I believe that rapha, Cypher and Av3k are pretty much on the same level at the moment. I don't think one would be easier than the other, regardless of when spart1e has to meet them, and honestly, you can't go all the way in any tournament without meeting such strong competition. :)

there is a matter of "getting used" to one enemy. some ppl play worst better vs others coz of the game-style, etc. and 100% rapha is the worst that could happen to Spart1e :) coz he just doen't know how to play vs this american. that doesn't allow Spart1e to show 100% of his skill.

If you are relatively new to QL, then you missed it, and I suggest you watch some VODs, especially earlier ones from 2009-2010, when some people attempted to promote QL to the world as some serious shit. It is the ultimate standard of LANs, unrivaled in terms of production, coverage and entertainment (best 2GDs casting period ever IMHO)
Also, they even managed to show cooller and rapha on real Eurosport TV, with a whole TV episode dedicated to QuakeLive.
