Quakers should not be concerned about SM viewers and SM prize pools, rather about the steady decline of signups for any events.

No matter how big lol, dota, sc and possibly SM is and will be, those games will never have such a good and tight community donating $$ for the 100 remaining players. The guys over at targetqauke, faceit team, memento, stermy and the likes are what keeps this game going - not the viewers, not the lans.

I just wish people would start signing up for starters and then talk about huge prize pools, countless lans and 10.000 viewers.

Even if you don't like the map, go on and sign up, maybe you won't win the 1st prize but still it's important at this point to take action and participate and be part of the small community.

It's not the cheaters, it's not the lack of new players - it's the laziness and zero interest from the current community.

Now get out there and show us some quake.

2v2 tdm, could never convince anyone to playtest it with me though, sadly. But 2v2 is the first thing I thought when I saw it.

Ah, just spotted my friend playing vs 102 evil, which shocked me, and then I was shocked even more about the map being Windsong Keep.

why on wednesdays whyyyyyy. can never play wednesdays, thursdays, mondays. >.<

The map actualy reminds me of the DM-Gothic map from UT99 in terms of textures but the comparison stops there. The purple teleporters are ugly and i think if we could have a small ledge near the LG to make it easier to go to rail it could already be a bit better, some of the teleporters could be changed into stairs/jump pads. The lower floor corridors could be a bit wider, some neat trick jumps could be added here and there, and the invisible wall cliping near mega could be removed.

After playing a hefty two games on it, I'm convinced that it's not THAT bad - it ain't too good either and I haven't noticed many places that offered nice battles, it's rather slow and campy, bit too oversized but refreshing to play something else on a competitive level nonetheless.

I'd love to see some 2v2 TDM on it though, RA area looks like something that can be "captured" and defended, MH room also has some neat tactical positions.

it has no flow, round corners kill your speed and you always bump into something, otherwise seemed somewhat promising tbh. needs some fixing though!

Indeed thanks Memento Mori for the donation. Was a fun cup, but the map is not suited for duel, that's for sure. There's too little health and it's too big. It can be played in a fairly slow way, just like dismemberment. Both maps really don't have a proper flow, although I would say the flow in this one is slightly better.

I would love more cups like this to be honest, it gives an incentive to play new maps. I wasn't active when Silence/Toxicity were added, but I assume it started as something like this? Maybe with cups like this we can "discover" new, good duel maps to play that otherwise would be left unplayed. Unless people want to see boring ztn, dm13 and aero in the pool for another couple of years...

Dont remember about Toxicity but czm won a cup like this on Silence.

You've missed most targetquake tournaments and they were all made with a simple goal in mind - to test and give a chance to lesser known or underplayed maps, because how else are we going to judge them, if we don't see good players fight on them?

I really applaud targetquake's idea and appreciate that their bringing us some duel action on unknown maps on a competitive level.

The thing is, based on this small tournaments players can judge if the map is suitable for tournaments, entertaining for people on stream etc.
