yes, it's a ctf map, a small on our part taking it - though the duel maps are worse!; it is replaced for the rest of the competition.

Aerowalk has been available since months and pretty much suits the game perfectly movement wise.

what happened with that ut legends tournament? I never watch nor play ut but would watch the vods of that one.

i'd love to play something competitive, but i just got too little time to do so. and tbh there is no game out atm i can play without being dissatisfied at a huge part. shootmania is just too simple and nexuiz... well.. just watch this VOD X). and ut3, which i actually enjoy quite much has like 5 active players and no tournaments worth to mention.... sooo.. yeah, that's it ;).

the legends cup was pretty much a disaster for me :-D. played 4 matches and i was pretty much demolished. actually i thought i was meant to play other "oldies" that haven't played for years, which would have been fun to watch i bet! but i rather played vs the current top players in ut2k4 that were probably playing 24/7 past 5 years ;-)

badly organized then. I wrote the same about the quake legends tournament: no active player should be allowed.

Watching VOD and most of the time it looks like it's just a guy running around on huge map all alone.

I watched the video, wrote a huge rant, deleted it, and finally decided to post in short my feelings: quite disheartening. I hope there is more to this game.

There is more to this game, the problem is that the maps are awful and the current armor system sucks. Plus having powerups like strength in duel is just a slap in the face of the duel community.

It also looks and feels like complete shit.

movement is wonky with the current settings, i have allready presented several cvars that make the jumping more enjoyable.

As for the look of the game, its all up to personal preference.

i knew someone posted the vid to esr when ive started to get negative comments :D
few things about the game/cup you guys gonna love:
- theres no vote option, only in the end of map, so we had to wait 10 mins to vote another map
- most of the time the game craches after map change, one of the us player raged the hell off when he wasnt able to join after 6 mins
- the spectator mod sometimes starts to show only one gun, no sounds, so i had to reconnect
- and the hitreg is wonderful...almost as wonderful as the maplayouts

Second map actually looked quite decent for the game (a bit short on items but still).

I like the art style. Weapons and sfx is pretty nice. This game has potential if its polished and gets some advanced movement tweaks, whatever the implementention. Not for me tho im a quake fanboy.

I usually try to be constructive with my feedback to new games and things. But.. I literally have nothing positive to say about this - and that's me being as gentle as humanly possible.

Honestly, I hate saying bad things about stuff where obviously a lot of work has been put into. But.... this.... game...

I watched the Finals VOD and I actually thought it was warmup ... until after about 10 minutes I realized that it is "live".

Even shootmania is much better than this, and that kind of says a lot.

I dont even know where to start to try and make this game better. It feels like it wants to be a quake, but its just worse in every aspect. The maps are terrible, the sounds are terrible, the movement looks terrible, the weapons are terrible...

This, to me, puts in QL in such a good light, its so much more polished etc...
