Are the Dacheng wmo's really legit or Chinese fakes?

i bought two some months ago, one of them isn't working, it has a crazy sensor; the other one seems legit.

edit: it has never worked, when you lift the mouse ad the sensor reaches the lod, it moves around the screen at crazy speed, unusable.

Still have a bunch of them here, unused.

@fau, I lived for 3 years in Dubai where a lot of old computer products are hard to get. In Holland I had little luck finding the Intellimouse 3.0 2 years back and the Intellimouse 1.1 a few month back, sadly both went out of stock rather fast and I was really looking for a WMO 1.1.

Buy a chinese one, a lot of them are legit.

I just received Dacheng one from ebay UK. It's a FAKE WMO. I could recognize that b/c I have 2 legit WMOs(directly received from Microsoft Korea).

Dacheng one has similar features from the original one except for two things. It has slightly lower sensitivity(may be different sensor?) and different mousefeet. My sensitivity is 5(6/11, 400dpi, 20cm/360) but Dacheng one has 19.4cm/360 with the same settings. (I doubt the result and re-check again and again and again but got the same result.) Also, Dacheng's mousefeet has too much friction and It doesn't work well with my Qck mass.

Except that, all the mouse features are exact same from the orignal WMO's even in slightest details like shapes, buttons, click sound, etc,. If somebody change the mousefeet, I probably couldn't tell the difference.

The mouse feets doesn't works very well for me too, they are too much grippy on the mousepad, they have too much friction, but that was my first wmo, so i wouldn't know if they are different, and i've always heard complaints about the base feets.

Any word on the IME 3.0 existing anywhere, still?

So I need a order a new WMO as-well. Was going to order from dacheng but reading these conflicting reports leaves me doubting. Has anyone else ordered from the before? I would really appreciate a verification. I would order from the UK seller but they don't do worldwide shipping..

Has anyone tried the steelseries WMO mods? I'm not the big fan of the
coating on the part of the shell as it usually makes my hand sweaty and would prefer one with a glossy or rubber finish. I can always just cover it with wire tape like I did with my current WMO and considering the none SS mods are cheaper, I'd prefer to just buy a couple of them if someone could confirm the dacheng or any of the other chinese imports are authentic.

Luckily for me, there is a shop here in Slovenia that sells a WMO+keyboard set for 20€ (didnt really want the keyboard, but they dont sell the mouse on its own).

Bought it, and it's the real deal.

WMO wouldn't be worth buying even if they were still $10 and you didn't have to deal with fakes. You'll have neg accel unless you use rapha's accel.
