when massive attack started i could swear that this is one hell of an intro for one more frag part... and i would take it despite 9minute mark. well made.
will watch again :)
I loved how frags that were alike were all put in succession, and I was relieved to see those three air rockets from dm13, that were only showed in 3rd person, be shown later in the movie. I remembered all three in detail because I really wanted to see more than just 3rd person, so I guess that's one way to keep the viewer interested in the content!
Great movie, very polished and professional looking, you can tell that a shitload of work went into this... and if I may say - I just _love_ the HUD. Good use of recams also. Only criticism I have is that it seemed very blurry in 1st person scenes, especially when fast turns, i don't know if that's motion blur or encoding?
I hope everybody downloads it, I can't even imagine what youtube must have done to this fine piece.
Yep, I had PC-BSD earlier and switched to FreeBSD after that. Now the beforementioned laptop is running linux again, but I've been thinking about going back to bsd.
Good work. Nice use of cameras, good frags and nice atmosphere provided by some good music. Always loved this track by Massive Attack that you have used for the credits part.
can't decide what's the 1337est part:
A) the blind airrocket on 7 @dm13RA
B) comeback on ash
C) the rj into pummel on Jewro
D) blind nades on prayer
E) the RJ up for the 180° turn and rail kill on RZD
F) 3 directs on purri on silence with 0.1 hp
G) the Baksteenjumps in yo face lol
Seems like we should be plussing the earlier comment #83 -- but I'll just jump on the #119 bandwagon.
Wish I could plus you again for that sweet delayed experience as my brain scrambled to retrieve where I heard that familiar sentence before. Finally posting the link is unfortunate but necessary. Pretty clever sir.
great movie, editing and frags just how i want to see it. only thing that makes me a little bit sad, is that a duel movie like this features so few scenes that are not high speed frags but rather good duel play/outsmarting the opponent.
I didn't expect much, thought it's another cookie-cutter generic movie with some random frags and some woo \ :l / mid airs.
It was everything but that - simplistic and clean HUD/CFG, fun and entertaining frags, memorable shots, decent music selection, good video quality. The RA denies on Aero were pretty damn cool, I also didn't mind that the whole movie is based around dm13.
Alas, the movies has gibs and I will vote 0 on it.
excellent editing (one of the better edits ive seen in some time) didn't like repetitive stuff but im sure some people do so that's ok too, (request to make my frag vid?? :D) (have most of the demos organised atm :P) frags coulda been better ofc but its hard to pull sick shit online anyway so that's fine. 7/10 (im hard to please :P)
hehe why thankyou! make sure to think about it though and not forget hehe and nah got enough to make a full film, don't wanna give away good frags for other movies but thanks for the heads up anyway hehe
sick, sick, sick.
the only thing I kinda noticed is that there's only few frags against the very top players, compared to some other recent movies. but that's about the only minor complaint I can come up with
This movie is just great. I love the soundtrack, editing and camera work. Besides that it is just filled from start to end with the kind of awesome frags that feels good inside and puts a smirk on your face when watching it :)
Can't find anything to bitch about except for the music, not my style. But it did fit the movie well enough.
Now, on the other hand, I really loved how the frag sequences were put together and how it tries to highlight the intelligence and rationale behind the plays and what lead to the frags in the first place. That's exactly what Rapha's movie should have been doing. In fact, that's what movie makers should be focusing their attention on now. I can't see myself fully appreciating another frag movie if it didn't underline this aspect of fragging after seeing it being done so well in this one. Good job all around.

Too much frame blending. Not a single sharp image in the movie because of it. The soundtrack's levels seem to be adjusted too high so that the levels get cut.
I couldn't watch it, partly because I don't watch duels, partly because the image quality was so horrible. I watched the 1gb downloadable version.
The Contenders 2 has pretty good image quality, try to go for that.
