I'm not a fan of quad but I think they work in TDM/CTF, your idea is silly and would very spammy. I think it would only work on CTF type maps to prevent standing still and derping. I also don't like a random person getting it, I think there would need some sort of skill required to get it. Could have it where you would need to move one flag to another(having the flag carrier outlined through walls like CA teammates?, make it a rare occurrence perhaps).

Thinking about your idea I came up with a bunch of silly gametypes as well :)

- CA gametype
- everyone starts with battle suit(maybe slightly stronger?)
- quad is in the middle with a protective radius around it
- extra or infinite lg ammo

gun game(doesn't upgrade per kill but per 200 dmg)
- order is important(last being grenade or gaunt)

- different health and armour with different guns
- more armour/health with harder weapons
- normal map item pickups


lg'n'rockets
- rockets are guaranteed rocket bounce(low or no dmg)
- rocket bounce physics essentially ignored and
dmg determines the bounce height direct being the highest bounce
- air rocket or lg high dmg
- gaunt catch also high dmg


hunger
- everyone spawns with higher than normal health/armour
- health/armour slowly ticks down till 25hp?
- all items have their own pickup timings for all players
- all items will have a long respawn time 15-35 secs
- all items replenish health/armour
- gaunt kills gives 25 health 25 armour


???
- gaunts gives 5 secs of quad
- normal quad doesn't spawn


instaSpawnCA
- no set up time (take the part I hate out of it lol :)


ghosty
- players periodically go completly invisible
- players with more health or frags?? stay visible longer
- indication whether your invisible or not(time also indicated?)
- very low dmg when invisible(mainly used for trolling/push back effects)


resource
- each player has 2 randomly assigned locations furthest away from each other
- some players may have the same home/destination or both
- uses big maps eg. ctf maps
- once a player has reached his destination(resource) will show a napsack or just a flag
- captures count as 3 kill's, denies count as 1(basically a kill)
- captures also replenish some ammo/health/armour
- bonus resource where powerups spawn and once returned to home
will receive that powerup

Wsw had an interesting one where instead of downgrading, you get a random weapon. As well as that, the dead opponent drops his own, so best case scenario is you get two guns for one kill. To balance things, there's no ammo pickups (can't remember health/armor).

What do you mean? To me a kill-confirm sounds like a "You fragged %playerName".

Ahh, I was watching some of my friends play CoD the other day, there is a TDM mode, where you have to kill the enemy, after which they drop a "dogtag"; which you have to collect to confirm the kill, and have it count as a point.

We already have a similar mode. It's called Harvester. A dead player drops a skull, but the skull spawns at centre-map where both teams are in contention to claim the skulls.

Where it's different is that you need to bring the skulls you pick up to the enemy base. =D

So it's basically a shootmania mod? Could use some more CTF elements.

ca rules with each round being dedicated to one weapon with infinite ammo. first round mg > second sg > third gl... etc. 10-10 then it goes to a decider with gauntlet.

I've played a few matches of 1v1 CA like that.

Was awesome fun. Nothing super competitive or anything, just some creative-thinking timesink action with your mates. Wasn't infinite ammo though, as to prevent spam, as well as give it a tactical element, so positioning and traps can be used in place of "meet centre and rush mindlessly with the same weapon and hope for the best", forcing you to pick your fights and actually use cover.

need more gametypes for 1v1. per round random spawn winner stays on. loser goes to back of the queue.
