People will come in, play one, maybe two games, get raped and leave. In the end, less than a 100 players will stay.

So the playerbase will be doubled!

not a fan of warsow, but i'm happy for the team/fans.
nice to see grassroots fps getting support.
hopefully, we'll see more competitive fps games on steam in the future(cough pmx cough)

What's pmx?

Standalone CPMA, based on Q3 source (Open Source) and custom made assets. It was intended to be free. Never happened, IIRC because one of the main guys went to help al QL's development.

Good for them. I wonder what steam has to gain out of this though. Financially. Will Warsow not be F2P anymore? Or will it have micro-transactions?

I can't imagine it puts any financial burden on valve. In their eyes, having more people using the platform for whatever reason can only be a good thing. When you start up steam, it shows you the current promotional deals on steam.
