Q5: Will Wrack have multiplayer?
A5: Sadly, no. As an indie developer, it's taken every ounce of our efforts and resources just to get a single player FPS off the ground. To really do it right would add months - if not years - to the project's development time, and time is not a luxury we have. We don't believe in half-assing anything, so we'd rather save that for later instead of giving you a mediocre experience right now. Our plan is to do something similar to what Torchlight is doing and save multiplayer for the sequel - if we get that far, of course!

This isn't the first game to rip off Warsow though. There's some instagib browser game that looks just like it. Even the gun looks just like the instagun in Warsow.

Yeah, the first game to rip off Warsow was XIII, released two years before the first Warsow alpha was.

XIII was in 2003, but Jet Set Radio which made Cel Shading in computer games popular was released in 2000 iirc.

Just stop with this cellshading crap.

It's not 2005 anymore and it looks generic, dull and lacking any form of depth.

Very early in development, Wrack was supposed to be an advanced Doom clone (makes sense since one of its main devs was the creator of a popular Doom port, Skulltag/Zandronum).

Shame they didn't go in that direction in the end, I'd much prefer a neat retro look.

wrack developer Brad "Carnevil" Carney did before skulltag (now zandronum), a modernised doom port (client) for classic doom multiplayer.

if he release the full game i buy it. exspect a cool doom clone and some arcade elements from old games. doom is never wrong :) if i look at the textures and slopes of wrack via screenshot, they are very detailed in comparison to doom 2 community wads.

its not a ripoff warsow, he just uses cellshading like 10 other fps ...
