Still vouching for the Roccat Taito if you're looking for high friction pad.

Doesn't cost a lot either.

I'm considering switching from QCK Heavy to this.

For my QCK it feels like there is a different amount of friction every day, depending on room temperature, humidity, who knows what. There also seems to be a lot of high friction "spots" where my mouse slows down a lot and I have to rotate the pad a lot to avoid these. Maybe the QCK just wears out really fast. I don't think I've had it for more than year. I've cleaned it a few times because it got to the point where it felt too slow, and I do like for the pad to feel somewhat slow.

How does the Taito compare to the QCK Heavy in regards to surface friction, consistency, etc?

The NP+ is a rough pad though, I'm looking for smooth surfaces only.

It isn't that rough and gives nice control feeling. Also waterproof :)
