man, there could be hundreds of cool announcer/killbeep/model/hitbeep sounds which Id Software could sell and I'm not even talking about models/animations/avatars and stuff like that :/ But we won't prolly see any microtransactions the upcoming year(if ever) with their 2-men dev team :( At the same time we won't see Zenimax putting more people/money in QL unless it starts bringing more money(which can greatly be boosted via microtransactions model). Fucking vicious circle.
So sad it's not Valve or someone else who bought Id Software instead of Zenimax :( Imagine all the Steam Marketplace/Workshop content like in Dota2/CSGO also being in QuakeLive or just QL2 being released :(
