He did a solo gig not too long ago, and I of course attended. The supporting acts were really 'meh'.
Got to the front row when Loomis came out, and headbanged pretty much through the entire set.
During one of his newer songs off the current album, he went to my side of the stage. Didn't see that, and smashed my head right into his guitar during one of those 'at-the-very-front-of-the-stage-hunched-over-solos".
Apologised at the end of the gig, and he didnt seem to mind one bit. Got him to sign my advanced review copy of Zero Order Phase, too (the ones that get sent out to reviewers, etc).
No I'm Nicholas jeffs, rudy is the drummer. After I left they got a new vocalist named Mike Ssemesky who is a pretty cool dude. I'm not really sure if they play anymore with all of their busy schedules.
Never heard of you, but that's pretty sick. I'm a fan of rudy's drumming, not so much many of the projects he's in. Ordinance had some good songs though.
Yeah, most of the lyrics on the Internal Monolouges ep were still written by me. Not sure if they have done anything since. And yes rudy is like a fatality of drumming, plays around 4 hours a day. If you'd like to hear some other badass shit with another former member of ordinance, check out exist[http://www.existband.com/]. The bass player Alex Weber played with us for a while in ordinance, and this is a band rudy also played in when it went under the name of Azrael. All of these guys are my best friends and I think its the coolest music.
This is pretty good stuff. Not diggin' his clean vocals, though.
Unfortunately Cattle Decapitation and Gorguts have ruined music for me. I get to a point where I try to force myself to listen to anything else for the sake of not listening to them, but I listen to them anyway.
I got a couple of friends that eat little inch wide rack toms for breakfast as well. Albums from them coming out soon. Moths and Dystopian.
Mustaine at his peak was an excellent song writter, from killing to rust in peace Megadeth is fuckin tier 666 thrash metal, and Blackmore is one the most influential guitarist of his time with Iommi, + Deep purple and Rainbow fuckin slay
What he said. More people should know about buckethead if they like guitar. Youtube soothsayer, or jordan for a couple of my favorites. Also check out his banjo, lol.
Ive seen him in person, and I have to say he is amazing. He played flawlessly for hours, very impressive to see.
I'm not saying it's any more or less interesting, that's entirely subjective.
But people that can do things faster than other people will have a much easier time playing the slow parts. Truth is there isn't a guitar part out there that Batio can't technically play. I really don't care for his music, but he IS the most skilled guitarist there is.
