Sometimes i play the Game 6-8 hours a day, and for me Premium is more than enough. Even if i want to actively Duel, there are plenty of Servers in every needed Region with map vote options, i never needed the Pro features...and im pretty sure you can Invite people with Premium as well.

and basically you could also just tell them via chat to join you, therefor the "invite function" doesnt matter much, neither if youre normal, premium or pro. (as long as you dont want it inv. only)

In my opinion Pro is useful if youre playing like 10+ Duels a day and you want to play on your server, with invitation only etc etc...otherwise Pro is a waste of money in my opinion.

I don't think time played per day is the factor here.
Bottom line it's about usability - if you want/need to spawn servers (for various tournaments, for setting up matches with specific settings, for locking your server with a password, for inviting people on pickups etc)
I might just play few hours a week and still need those functions.

It matters because invite function means you can invite standard players to join a Premium gametype/map. The invite function you're thinking of is available for all accounts.

In theory if you have a duel buddy, only one of you must be pro and you can both play prem maps. Same goes for 2v2 CA/TDM

There is no such thing as a 1€ per month Q3 server. The 5€ per month offer is 10 slots and passworded (forced, and the password can't be in the server name).

Yes, they want to make money. Which is why you won't buy anything for less than a euro. They wouldn't even receive anything after payment processing costs.

But even in the hypothetical case that you could buy a 2-slot server for 1€ how is that remotely comparable to what a ql-pro account offers you?

Do you know the reason ID is able to offer those pro server for this "cheap" price? Because users time-share the servers. If all pro users would make their servers up for 24/7 the pro accounts price will have to drastically increase or ID wont be able to cover their server costs.

Besides while your q3 server is "fully customizationable(wtf?)" a ql pro subscription in practise is much more flexible.

Wanna play something other than duel? Have fun customizing your 2-slot server to do that.
Wanna just play some fun mod? Just a sec, let's upload the mod, maps, server configs and start setting it all up.

I can't follow your logic. What you just wrote is true, but how can you say it when you pretend, elsewhere, that non-time-shared 24/7 up Q3 servers are cheaper than a pro subscription? Isn't that contradictory? Or do you think id takes so large a share that normal 24/7 Q3 servers are cheaper?

pro if you want control over your server, spawn funny mods or invite standard users (5 max at the moment I guess), premium if you just want to play with other premium users
