After the opener of the FACEIT Winter Season was won by

evil, we are set for the second cup coming Sunday, starting at 09:00 CDT. You can already sign-up now!

Daniel "ddk" Kapadia will be bringing all the action to you on

FACEIT TV, starting live at 09:30 CDT. He is accompanied by monsieur

Kevin "strenx" Baeza, joining us for the second time!

The FACEIT Winter Season will be played each Sunday for the coming months, where 128 players can join and play for $125, as well as points to qualify them for the Finale.

btw curious to know who's that individual named 'Thror' and labeled German who had registered just a while ago and keeps winning vs everybody including two ztn's vs cypher and easily dispatching players like bpatela, baksteen, and sting.. Can't think of anybody else except agent. Pity there are no demos on qlranks so far to examine the playstyle

could be nitrino?..

I checked the accuracies of every single person with an ELO above that of Thror. STING_pl, bzd_, Silencep, prockz, and poomer stook had the most similar accuracy to thror.

prockz has GL and PG accuracies much higher than Thror.

STING had already played Thror in duels.

bzd_ hasn't played in a thousand years, and only ever played with Ukrainians; whereas Thror plays people from pretty much anywhere.

Silencep plays bloodrun more than Thror.

Poomer has much less accurate rockets than Thror and plays Aerowalk more.

Right now I'm betting it's Silencep.

I don't know why I've devoted so much time to this.

Dunno if i should... The person playing behind this name is obviously a good player that wants to stay anonymous. (It can be Silencep or w/e). Why would I contribute to something against his will? Thror plays regularly, you should be able to easily find him on a server and analyze his playstyle.

There is a demo of thror playing. I can't tell who it is but he/she does a few things that are noticable. He turns before he reaches a corner and then strafes out almost every time. He have good aim with hitscans. etc etc, watch for yourself.

anyway, watched the demo. his aim style (how he sets up rails and how he sways his lg) plus his general play-style and his decision-making totally seem idential with Stermy. Not a proof, but a big clue towards him.

EDIT: only thing that puzzles me is that hes almost TOO GOOD to be stermy.

I've been thinking of ways to spice up faceit and came with up this.

How about the previous champion who wins a cup gets to play for extra money the next cup.

So evil won the first cup, and if he wins the 2nd cup he gets $200 instead of $100. If he wins the next cup he gets $300 etc etc until the season is over. If someone stops him then they get the accumulated money that that champion would have gotten, but the next week they are reset and it starts again.

This means if you show up every week to keep the crown, you get paid a lot more, and if you stop the beast, you get mad $$$

Can't say I really blame agent in this instance. Even as a spectator it's annoying as shit for players to go afk for several minutes between maps. I'm sure it's worse as a player waiting.

I can understand technical issues or something, but it seems far too often players going afk before/between matches for minutes at a time. They're well aware of the number of maps to be played for any one match, why is there a need for a smoke break or whatever. You can't wait 20min or so?

but you are a funny player, its obvious that you could be TOP level, but sometimes it seems to me that you are overcomplicating your own game and dont focus enough on the basics. or maybe you just dont care that much about winning? :p

strenx is definitely a polarizing player, people hate him one minute then love him the next

putting some extra time to do an aftershow/self duel commentary was fun to see, nothing he had to do but did it for fun and for the fans

definitely bring strenx back as a guest... compared to his last faceit casting appereance, he seemed more comfortable as if it was his own stream
