I really just want to know two things about the evo cl is it shaped at all like the ime 3.0 and does it have negative accel? Sorry about tired

Looks like the ec1 is more like the ime 3.0 and the ec2 is more like the deathadder. Thanks 1 question down 1 to go.

They're almost exactly the same, ec1 is just 7mm longer and 4mm wider.

If you play at super low sens. then ec1/2 will bug out. Never noticed any negative accel.

I play with about 41cm/360. I wouldn't want to play with less then about 30cm/360. 30cm/360 is a medium sensitivity right? Not really sure.

You should be ok with 41cm/360, maybe you'll have to lower it but I'd bet not. When/if you first get it, use it on the gametype that makes you swipe the quickest, you'll definitely notice if it bugs out at your current setting.

I stopped using mine because mousebutton4 would rapid fire whenever I pressed it after about 18 months use, plus the ec2 was a little small for me. I avoided s series and specifically went for a logitech g400 as a replacement, not going back now, I love it.

Zowie mice have a lot going for them.

41cm/360° should be fine with any zowie mice

and yep the EC series are VERY close to the ie 3.0 shape wise

i bet that you would use 450dpi right ? Then go for 500hz usb polling rate

i play at ~40cm/360° aswell, and i don't even reach 2m/s while playing.
it starts to "bug out" at around 3.5m/s, so there is nothing to worry about.

I am using a much larger mouse pad that is why I am using 41cm/360. I plugged my ime 3.0 in that I used a higher sens with before and it malfunctions almost every time I move quickly. so you hit 2.1m/s very often, but that's still far away from what the zowie can handle(~3.5m/s).

Yeah, my guess is I am just a little over the max speed. So you are probably right that the zowie mice would be fine.

try a red colored mousepad

I did a little research but the only suggestions I could find on the web said that using a red pad affected lift off distance, not max tracking speed.

I've tried the ec2 eVo on like 10 different mousepads, hien black soft - hayate - titan monstermat - func c-series grudge black - sharkoon 1337 XL - g-tf -g-tf speed etc

It ALWAYS skipped on very fast swipes unless i was using a red pad like the hien value edition L ( ~ 25 euros including shipping ) LOD is slightly higher and cursor response seemed a bit smoother as well

Cool, happy you got it sorted. I'm gonna stick to my g400 now, perfect shape for me and I've only recently bought an artisan shiden kai. Zowie mice are really nice.

I tested my old deathadder 3.5g for negative accel and it actually had none. My ime 3.0 was pretty bad. I had tested my brothers g9x and it actually had positive acceleration.

Overpriced for their quality. Logitech will be better choice now if you care about that.

I just returned a Logitech g500s that only lasted about a month before the it broke. The scrollwheel got looser and looser untill it started to scroll even when locked. The cable somehow was also messed up when I got it. I also had a g400s before that which for some reason started to mess up and acted like the left mouse button was being pressed when it wasn't, all you had to do to stop it is press it again and it would stop but still that shouldn't happen. But I do know many people who have had Logitech mice for years and they worked great. I think I would be more inclined to get a deathadder 2013 though than a g400s(again).

The only top-tier Logitech mouse is G400/S (mayble g100s? haven't kept tabs on it) and that mouse is definitely not for everyone. I hate the thumb buttons on it and I hate the ridge on the right side of it that prevents my ring finger from ever being comfortable.

I have both EC1 and EC2 and they're so much more comfortable for me. And very similar in price to G400S anyway.

intelli mouse got low max speed, thats why sometimes you feel negative acceleration. WMO, intellimouse got it about 1,59 m/s.
mid sens players probably will not hit negative accel.

Zowie EC1/EC2 evo will be ok. I guess bigger EC1 evo will be more like intelli 3.0.

But Avago 3090 doesn't have high max speed too, I think 3 m/s max speed is max.

Zowie also got very low LoD, For other mice you need tape trick I guess.

For myself, I will go for Kana v2 as replacement of WMO, Avago 3090, unfortunately high LoD.

the zowies have that lower maxspeed due to the custom lens(which gives them the higher DPI too).

Enotus test is not correct. Max speed is too high with enotus, true max speed is always a bit lower.

it is absolutely correct if you test it in one axis
I could compile a 'fixed' version later

with WMO and enotus it's quite easy for me to get 2 m/s... when the graph is always about 1,5 m/s

if you test it in a single X/Y axis and calculate it for it's real cpi the max tested speed is gonna be around 1.5-1.6 as it really is

that's with my modded zowie ec1 which has now the standard avago lens.

I dont know others but I just bought Zowie FK, and after WMO this is the best mouse Ive ever used.

In december last year I got the Zowie EC1 Evo CL as a replacement for the AM as I found the AM was a bit too small for my hands, its been a lovely mouse and its now about 6 months old.

In the past week a pair of cracks have appeared in the back shell of the mouse. I didn't drop it or squeeze it extra hard or anything like that, I have just used it like any other mouse and I have never broken a mouse in this way before. I have contacted Zowie support, could just be a bad shell but it might also be an inherent design flaw that means the mouse isn't very robust in that area.
