a higher value of antistropic filtering or r_texturemode "linear" / "nearest" will give ur beam more of a sharper edge

all crosshairs have been thoroughly tested by sperg mouseim #1 tribes ascend player zubintheking, and he came to this conclusion after testing everything

although it does add eyestrain(a lot)

Wouldn't yellow be less strain, for the same reason they say yellow notepads helps reduce strain. And is strain good or bad? I probably purposely strain my eyes when in intense fights shrugs

your eyes are most sensetive to a yellowish green, it's really obvious if you change your crosshair colors ingame

Didn't watch the video. But if you feel the need to create your own custom crosshair, then you're already doomed to fail (in most cases). Don't over think your setup. Choose what's comfortable for you to use. What you hit with consistently and move solidly. After that it's practice and trial + error.

In my opinion, quakelive rewards more defensive and +back gameplay with the added element of suprise. You can't be scared to take a fight every once in a while or you're going to lose.
