So it all started with the The Quake Tournament History Timeline. I liked the idea and I was sad it wasn't updated anymore.
I grabbed my mouse and my keyboard, then spent a silly amount of time searching the dead internets for infos about older Quake DUEL tournaments (just Q3 & Q4). Then I put some stuff into a db, and I added some fresher stuff from QL until DHW 2011, after that I gave up.
Some day, I realized it's time to code something quick to actually use the infos from the db (only tourneys infos, players and rankings). And I shared it with a few guys, mostly admins in charge of doing the seedings. I always wanted to make it public, but I was too lazy to polish it so it's not a complete shame for me.
Finally PYTON came with his Quake History project. I handed him all the infos and sources I had, since he seemed motivated, and wished him good luck.
But after a while, I can see he didn't get enough free time to add all the stuff I gave him, lazy muppet)).
So tonight I fixed a few stuff and made it public. There are about 215 tournament entries and a bit more than 1,000 players. It's only about rankings: you can select a player and see all his rankings, or select a tournament and see its final rankings.

I'm also attaching a backup of the db I used, some text files with infos/sources and a rip of the pro player index webby "Copyright © 2000 Challenge-TV.com All rights reserved." ))
