No, but it had next-next-gen graphics and the single player campaign didn't look like it sucked like Quake 4's.

I know this is a stupid troll thread made by a fake account, but for what it's worth: I think that Aquashark had the best idea about Quake 5, that it should go back to it's roots. i.e a Medieval/Lovecraftian theme.

and? it still will not be q3 with better gfx, and people will stomp it, like q4

I'm not looking for q3 with better gfx. I thought that q4 was brilliant with q4max and pr 1.2 onwards. I also like cpm.

and? community will still bash q5. there are some individuals who dont have a problem with another quake not being q3, but most of guys, especially here, wants q3. with better gfx. and skill matching.

Basically we need what Dota got with Dota 2. However valve is just amazing at doing amazing things. They should do quake 5 lol.
