I have the Zowie EC1 Evo. When I use the mouse rate checker, I am getting on average 135 but it's set to 125. Does anyone have a Zowie mouse behave like this, too?
So, it's normal then and nothing can be done to fix it? Cool beans. I can live with it. It's only 10hz on average that it's over. At least it's stable.
It has no effect on raw input and can be fixed very easily. Go to this link and click on the microsoft fix it icon with the guy with the wrench or just use this link http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9844530 it is the same thing I was just giving you instructions in case you don't want to click a random download link from an esr post. Anyway after running that add your explorer.exe then restart your pc after that all it should be the same as windows 7. If you don't know where your explorer.exe file is it is usually here C:\Windows\explorer.exe .
The polling rate really wasn't what it was showing before you did the fix. Windows input and raw input are different but the only one that really matters is raw input. Also it is very normal for your polling rate to change a lot. It is only a problem if it just from say 500hz to 250hz or 1000hz to 700hz. A diffrence of 10hz will happen and it is perfectly fine.
Please do correct me if I am wrong, but a 125/450 on a Zowie is ideal because the lower the sensitivity is, the more constant hz you will get from the senor. When you have larger Hz and DPI you have higher fluctuations of numbers.
You're wrong. DPI has nothing to do with refresh rate. When you use more hz it makes the mouse update more frequently, dpi has jack shit to do with it.
Alright. I played a few games with 500hz. It was nice and responsive for sure. But very little difference was actually seen. However, did do the test again. At 500hz, it was bouncing from 500-700hz where at at 125hz it was constant at 134hz. Some of the results that the program was recording was numbers like, 500, 498, 479, 1003, 1002, not in that order though. Should I be worried about this? Or just keep going at 500?
