Never understood how you can "quit" Quake. To stop competition I get it and I did, but I never managed to totally quit, the urge to play was getting too strong ^^

True. But the whole adreno-endorphine joy comes only with reaching your pre-quitting level or higher, slicing and dicing like a devil. Before that - you got to climb through guys you've used to beat easily. Good thing is you don't wanna stop before.

Beautiful movie.
I felt the first part gently takes you to a kind of hopeless state of mind, like is the end of the movie, the author is tired, he question himself "What am I supposed to do ?", the screen goes dark and then HOPE is restored with a mindblowing series of frags accompanied by inspiring music.

i had the same feeling. music & grafic filters - but. if you look up his past tf2 movies, the style is similar to this.

There was barely enough space on my hdd to record all of it in 720p 300fps (990fps for cameras), so I really doubt I could record at least half of all the footage in 1080p with same fps.
Also, I didn't render it out with 60fps because all 3d shots were 30fps. Sorry about that.

it wasnt the end of the world, it looked pretty good as far as 30 fps goes, even the 720p in fullscreen looked alright. i guess i got used to finding a 60fps link under the youtube one ;>

Some lovely editing, and the shot from jap castle stairs was incredible!

9/10 for brilliant editing and production. 4/10 for mediocre skill content. Hated the music but it's not fair to judge someone's vision based on something so subjective.

(9+4) / 2 = 6.5
