I ordered one of the korean g100 models a month or so before the g100s came out. I think they changed the sensor from the g100 to the g100s but fwiw I love my g100 and have had no issues playing at 500 dpi (actually I have improved).

Good to hear. I actually used an Abyssus in 2011, so it's possible that Razer fixed the sensor since then.

I received it yesterday and the sensor feels good to me, I was unable to make it skip which is a first, or more like second, never made the zowie ec2 skip either.

As an former abyssus user, the shape feels good for me and I can hold it pretty much the same way as the Abyssus.
Overall it's a very good mouse. It's a bit heavier than the Abyssus though.

I had to open it to remove the weight inside and now I feel 'free' of my movements again.

If there is an alternative to the abyssus as a small lightweight mouse, that's definitely the one. At least for now as bst mouse isn't out yet.

Yes and can easily be removed. Just have to remove the bottom skate because the screw is below it, open it and the weight is fixed by another screw.

Takes 2mins top to remove it.

The only downside is that the skate might not reapply as well as it was before if it catches any dirt and it might not feel as smooth.
I removed only half of the skate to get access to the screw and let the other half sticked to the mouse, quickly removed it and reapplied it, the skate still feels okay.

I don't have any jitter with the mirrored edition abbyssus on a red qck. Just bought it because it's cheap and feels like my old g1.

I bought one, then they went on sale for 20 bucks and I bought another 2; I plan on using this mouse a long time.

I own/have owned DA 1800, 3.5, 2013, g9x, g5, g500, g400 (non prediction model), sensei raw (9500), sensei mlg (9800), corsair m60, m90, naos 5000 and maybe some I forgot.

The g100s tracks better or equal to all of them in terms of precision and lack of angle snapping etc. The ONLY thing I dislike is at 1000 units / inch , I have clipped it a few times in CS: GO (my main game, bite me) at 500 dpi, 500 hz and 2.0 in game sensitivity (which puts me towards the high-ish sensitivity crowd in CS. In quake live I play at 3.5 sensitivity , in_mouse -1 (+markc), fov 103 @ 1920x1080 and 500 dpi @ 500 hz and have never clipped it.

I can't stress how much I like this mouse.

Tracks like a dream on my g-pad wide, which rests on top of an everglide titan fnatic edition.

The only real issue with the G100s is the weight system (or the lack of it) Its just not the same as with the G1/mx300 where u just had to remove the weight, and the mouse did feel alright. Im sure this is fixable, with some kind of adding weight here and there to the shell. Also i would have liked a glossy version (the G100 had a glossy version)

'lod' is a bit high on black cloth imo.

on my g-pad, the LOD is comparable to laser, maybe a /hair/ higher. I am not exaggerating either.. it's the first optical mouse I have used with such a laser-esque feel to it.

The LOD on my clothpad (situated under my g-pad) is a fair bit higher but still great for optical.

What were you used to that this is an issue?

Try to cover the sensor completley with transparent tape. I did that once and it reduced the lod greatly. It even stoped tracking on my wood table, but still worked on my hard pads. I played with it for a few days without making the mouse skip, but i play fairly high sens (~12cm/360°)

yeah g500 is a good call; it is the only palm mouse with a very high up sensor (which i think is an excellent idea, I wish the g400 had similar placement), but I would advise looking for an old G500 and not a g500s as the avago 9800 sensor feels like total anus compared to the original 9500 as found in the g5000. It is hard to explain, but if just feels really smoothed out and almost a bit laggy.

I have two senseis, one with 9500, one with 9800 and the 9500 tracks a world more "responsively".

The way I end up holding the g100s, the sensor is pretty much below my fingertips.

Of all the mice I have, the g100s is probably most similar to the deathadder in the way my hand ends up ultimately resting (ie full palm on mouse pad, thumb and ring are what pick up.)

the sensor in the g100 is situtated dead center of the mouse and I activate m1 at about 65-70% o f the mouse (like looking at the mouse top down perspective, the bottom being 0%, the top being 100% - that is where I click)

My G100s mouse1 and 2 buttons are squeaky when I spam click it while clawgripping so I went back to the g300.

mine was like that for the first couple of months, but it has since gone away.

Actually happened with my g100 aswell(korean import) but it went away like Apheleon's g100s.

My buddy had that issue with his; I have 3 g100s and none of them exhibit this issue. RMA it.

Interesting does the light weight of the mouse help with tracking enemies. I have a qck, it has lots of friction plus I have a fairly heavy mouse.

My G100 "non S" has this odd positive accel.

Logitech pretty much fixed all the issues the 'non s' version had with the G100s, this includes a complete new sensor.

Am I strange, everyone had issues with the original g100 but I only have good things to say about it at 500 dpi.

it's weird it's like when I use it goes from 850dpi at 0.05m/s then makes one big jump to 1000dpi at 0.1m/s, it makes in-game accel feel crazy and choppy, so I just went back to my abyssus with the back sawwed off and put my old salmosa sensor in there.

Mind you the mouse works just fine without accel, and I definitely don't have jitter, I also tested 500dpi it was less extreme but it still had that dpi jump.

It's good 500 DPI/500 Hz mouse, it's only that people expected more.

Weird, never experienced that and haven't heard about it. Maybe your mouse is faulty?

Yes.

I had a g100s for a little less than a month. Its malfunction speed is lower than the Roccat Savu or the G400, but it's still high enough to be useable for Quake Live. Also, it malfunctions before showing accel, which is good. The LOD is okay too. I would say that, yes, the sensor is "perfect".

i got one 3 days ago and i cant complain about the sensor so far (1000dpi/500hz). Definitley an improvement over my old abyssus. Only mouse cord is a little stiff and mousewheel doesnt feel as good.

default rate is 500hz and can be changed to 125hz only by drivers.
default dpi is 1000. there is hardware button for dpi change 1000/1750/2500.
i don't feel any latency/delay of 500hz (2ms) g100s compared to zowie am with defaults: 1000hz and 1150dpi.

0.18 if you're going to apply them straight on to the old feet, because you said the lod is already very low. If you're going to replace the stock mouse feet, it's up to you, not sure how much it will matter.

Just tried, it still gives 500Hz when set to 1000Hz. You can go lower than 500Hz if you want to for some reason. Tested 62/125/250 to make sure hidusbf was working properly.

original g100s is almost same weight as wmo. about 2-3g difference.

i think that after taking off the addidtional weight its a bit too light, would like to have it like 75g.

My g100s has this weird issue that if i do a fast movement with an RJ the mouse cursor/crosshair flys off in a strange direction. Not sure if it's to do with the LOD as i've had 2 g100s now.

probably you hit negative acceleration. g100s max speed is not very high, about 2,6 m/s (but WMO 1,6 m/s). Than deal with it or you need mouse with higher max speed.

360 is about 20cm i guess

That is a pretty high sensitivity. I am using 29.6cm/360 and I am not having any issues with mine. Use this site http://www.funender.com/quake/mouse/index.html to get your cm/360. Fill in your dpi, in-game sensitivity, and make sure your m_yaw is 0.022 if it isn't fill in what your m_yaw is. You shouldn't have issues unless your m_pitch is 0.018 or lower.

I am assuming you mean 8 inches? If you are talking about 8 cm then you should never have an issues with negative acceleration. Your m_pitch sensitivity is still higher than my sensitivity and I have no issues maybe there is dust on the sensor or something I don't know.

I was able to made the mouse malfunction. I took a look at the sensor and it was caked is dust and lint. I tried and I needed to move it a bit faster for it to happen. I need to move the mouse all the way across my Qck+ very quickly for this to happen. Again it would help to know what your real sensitivity is. If that was 8 cm/360 or 8 inches/360. If your using 8cm/360 then you shouldn't move the mouse that fast because you would be doing probably 2 360s before it would malfunction. I need to get a little more than half way through my mouse pad before it will malfunction. If you would like to replace it with another mouse I would reccomend something like a steel series sensei raw(SS diablo 3 mouse is the same thing and cheaper) or kana. Those are both ambidextrous and pretty light weight lightweight. G400s if you want Logitech and that should never have negative accel. I at least could never get it to malfunction or have negative accel. Also you should look into the cm storm mice that everyone seems to like. I haven't tested them but I am sure they are nice.

try another solid color surface. logitech has g240 cloth mousepad which fits perfectly to g100s and it has solid black color.
never had this problem with my g100s on solid black surfaces.
i had only problem with mouse1 omron switch - need pressure to register click otherwise u will hear only switch's click sound. some quakers had same problem.

i'm on a fnatic steelseries qck pad so might be that...

My G100s skips at medium to high speeds on my black Steelseries Experience I-2. Therefore, it doesn't have a perfect sensor.

Also, I dislike that the dpi settings aren't remembered without the logitech driver.

Not me. From memory it's pcs is only about 2.5m/s though so if you're an ultra low sens player then it's conceivable.

I recently baught one. Couldn't make it skip at 40cm/360. Maximum tracking speed in Enotus Mouse test is 3.7 m/s. Pad is G-TF Speed.

I opened my G100s because i wanted to remove the weight inside the mouse and on the chip it says AM010 N1303T and not AM010 N1301T.

I like the mouse even more now that it's lighter.

I also like the left button very much as it's really light to click.

The only thing i miss is the 1000Hz polling rate, but everything else is just perfect for me.

i feel g400 sensor handles it much better when you're making fast swipes. in other words: g100s has lower max speed in every setting i have tried. g400 on the other hand, feels almost perfect @ 400dpi-500hz (also later version, without prediction)

i dont know what is written on my g100s's sensor though.

for a long time in csgo, I've had this issue where if I turn really quickly, my crosshair would fly to the top or bottom of my screen. makes me look like an idiot when an enemy is behind me and I try to turn but end up staring at my feet.

I know that the pcs is around 2.5-3 m/s which is pretty much what I'm seeing in these graphs. it seems that when moved faster than that speed, the sensor malfunctions in both directions.

I'd appreciate it if someone else with a g100s could try to replicate these results so that I know whether it's a universal problem with the g100s.


edit: what I'm bothered by is the vertical movement during horizontal swipes faster than the malfunction speed.

It means that max speed of g100s is not enough for you. about 2,6 m/s

not sure how exactly yours are broken but my first g100s had button problems where you could click but the sensor wouldn't activate until you gave a little more pressure.

logitech sent me a replacement which I've used for a year now and its buttons are still perfect.

These shapes work different than WMO/ XAI/ sensei. Depends on where you hold it.

Even if the sensor would be 2 cm more to the front or to the back, it's much harder to hold a "()" shape in a straight line vs a ")(" shape.
Btw, the problem is less present on the G1 because it's not as narrow to the front as the G100 shape.

edit: maybe the G1 is a bad example with its strong anglesnapping. But it's the same with the G3. I have zero problems with it although it doesn't have a centered sensor.

less then a day on the WMO again i am back to g100s, reason being is going from WMO to g100s felt natural and comfortable, after 10 days of use going back the the WMO it felt like i hadnt just used this mouse for years, with the 15g reduction in weight aswell the g100s was day and not faster track back and forth really fast

I went back to my G400 as I've hit the malfunction speed a few times. Hitting it once just made me consciously aware of the speed limitations of my mouse swing thereafter, fuck that.
