Why is it laughably bad? Nothing on that link states anything like that.
Remember that lots of aspects are personal preference and that for the price it might be ok for most games.

You can get a better mouse with more features and a better sensor for about 10 to 15 dollars http://www.amazon.com/SHARKK%C2%AE-Programmab...ming+mouse and you can get the g100s for 20 dollars. The price is not cheap for the performance.
I tried this mouse from the factory that makes them, has quite a few problems imo. A few tweaks here and there and it would be nice. It uses the A3050 sensor btw, but for some reason doesn't use the standard steps. So fix some problems with the shell and fix the sensor and its nice. I told the factory but they said they had no complaints, well now they have :D
