If you are using an older mouse that does not have a polling rate switch on it, the HIDUSB trick on Windows 8/8.1 does not work.

Now on the z77 fatal1ty motherboard I have, it is advertised that the mouseport will let me force the polling rate higher with the mouseport. The f-stream utility for Windows 8.1 does not work for me.

Here's what i did:

1. Install Asrock z77 f-stream(0.1.73.45) to the default FSTU folder
2. install asrock z87(2.0.48) f-stream to FSTUNEW
3. From FSTUNEW, copy all files(not folders) from the bin folder to the bin folder of FSTU, not overwriting.
4. Take the AsrHidFilter.inf file from FSTUNEW's bin folder and overwrite the bin folder of FSTU.


Then launch FSTU from the FSTU bin folder and now you can change your polling rate, woo.
