If I understand it correctly, this "fusion engine" kicks in when the sensor is unable to read because of the high speed. In essence, once it goes over a cap, some sort of predition engine starts to work so you don't feel it when the malfunction speed is reached?

yeah exactly just will be interesting to see if the mouse has higher input lag due to this or if the system is fully off until it needs to be engaged etc, and what kind of results are generated when it is engaged.

At the very least its the first mouse build from the ground up for cs style gaimers.

Accelerometer might be controversial / blasphemy to some but if it works well I applaud Logitech for doing what should have been done for a long long time, make a mouse you cant fucking clip, and that doesn't use dpi dick size measurements to try and win buyers.

Might be entirely unrelated but the accelerometer in my PS4 is night and day better than the ps3 one, so it seems this technology is coming quite far. (to the point where its better than analog sticks for aiming, and requires no external capture to be tracked like PlayStation move and Wii etc).

You do need to recenter it frequently hitting L1 but overall i was quite impressed with its accuracy , its not a mouse, but for no optical tracking its pretty damned impressive.

if the ball is propelled at 150 hm/h it means you hit at least 120 km/h with your shoulder. On some other sports the hits are evern faster but less strong which means less pressure on hte shoulder.

The accelerometer/gyro might be interesting technological additions in mice, but matter of the fact is they add nothing we could benefit from while adding imprecise variables to tracking.

You have elastic tension from 2 sources when hitting a ball using a tennis racket: from the anterior stretch right across your abdomen and facia, as well as the elastic tension from the tennis racket strings. This isn't taking into consideration momentum either. When you move your mouse, you pivot or rotate joints, no elastic tension and certainly no movement across the anterior pelvic area to create elastic tension. Mouse movements are also done with no 'catapult' motion which has a given time interval and distance for preparatory motion intrinsic of muscle memory which is different from simply moving the mouse left and right really fast.

Either way, maybe quakers just cant wrap their head around it because a lot of them play at higher sensitivity compared to the CS scene I am used to (not flaming just saying im from a different game). IPS is not as big a factor, where in CS its huge.

But for low sensitivity gaming very high movement speeds are needed, not 500 ips , but its just the fact its stable till that point, meaning i can't blame my mouse. Personally I find that comforting.and a welcome change from the crap they made in the past like the G5 that I would clip several times a minute.

Even the G100s that I am enamoured with is forcing me to look elsewhere because i clip it and it does something like 2.5-2.8 m/s on a black cloth pad. And on my primary pad it can only do about 2.2 m/s. In quake I can get by but I still clip time to time in quake.

Obviously no one needs > 12.7 m/s, but personally I don't feel comfortable at all until my mouse is showing over 4m/s on enotus and the higher the better.

If no new issues are introduced with this new approach ill get one, they went down the right path IMO and instead of just putting more DPI they tried to solve the age old problem of optical mice performing typically worst at at their lower dpis.

Personally i'd love to gut either my 502 or a 402 and somehow stick it in a g100s but baased on those PCBs i doubt that will happen.

I respect commitment, but how so many of you play with those intellimice P0Ses that neg accel after 1 m/s or 1.5 m/s when ocd is beyond me. I would never consider playing with something so poorly performing, but I guess i am perhaps from a different generation :P and a different game and standards of quality. I know with some accel and higher sense the intellimice are all people have needed, but that is uniquely for quake. You wouldn't wanna use an IME to play cs thats for damned sure.

It literally cannot do the rated 500ips unless it's a straight line. It shouldn't affect normal fps performance but it's worth mentioning.

Yeah the still cable is a bit of a pain in the ass but luckily i have one of those razer mouse weights I got on sale for 10 $ and i have it set up so it doesn't bother me as much as it originally was. Definitely something to consider.

I've had it for a few days but I haven't had much time to actually play with it.

So far its a much lighter version of the G502 (which I also have) its comfy, tracks great.

The only major flaw I have come across is with the latest firmware/software if you chose to edit the onboard settings, they don't apply (or atleast I couldn't get them to) I had to switch it to pc mode before I was able to match my sensitivity with my G502 in the drivers.

Other than than that the G502 slides a fair bit better on my Gpad although it is "broken in" however I suspect its more than just that as I dont remember the G502 have this much of a gritty feeling out of the box. Some might like that, others might not. Luckily my Gpad eats mousefeet for breakfast and its slowly getting better.

In terms of gameplay sense, its never clipped, but feels most similar to my g100s. I just wish it was shaped like my g100s; its a cross between a g502 and a g100s just with their more standard palm shape.

Overall its a great mouse and I'm quite happy with it. The g502 is definitely higher quality but for most people here, if they are considering logitech, I think the g402 will serve their needs better as, even with all the weights removed, the g502 is one heavy sumbehtch. I'll post more when I get home from class and have played more, say 7 PM -5MGT. its 7:41 AM here now.

Drivers don't work to write stuff to on board memory, without using on board memory mode you can't change any of the buttons functions.

Really needs to be fixed.

I was wondering why i couldn't get the same cm/360 despite all variables being the same; the mouse uses stock dpi settings even if you, say, only enable 2 dpi settings in the on board driver settings.
