dpc latency checker doesn't work with windows 8, retard.

I installed win7 sp3 and all drivers etc

my dpc latency was like 50us

i formatted , installed only basic and OS sp1 and small updates
voila
10us.

So, basic things can make your dpc latency sky rocket.
Like software from offboard Soundcard (soundblaster is a lagfest)
and every program running, services.. everything..

dont be so mad if your value is lower than 100us..
lower than 100us is acceptable.

but high spikes and high value no. So, i dont know how to help in win8 i hate this OS. but in win7 we had program to analyze what is affecting the lag

Ever since one of the updates around/before Qcon, I started experiencing input lag and/or unstable frame rate. Eventually I realized I could get rid of the issue by manually setting my CPU and GPU to max settings. Even with com_idlesleep disabled, the issue was there until I cranked everything up. This wasn't necessary before the update that triggered the problem. GTX 770 here.

From what I can see, its actually measuring microseconds, meaning you have 1.2-1.22ms of latency. Also apparently it doesn't measure correctly in Windows 8.

You might want to list all your hardware and driver versions and shit.

Hardware and software configuration:

GPU nVidia GTX 560 Ti
Video drivers all possible versions from latest one to 295.73 which is recommended on many forums
CPU (if needed here) i5-3550 @ 3.30 Hz
Monitor: BenQ XL2411 144 Hz (in QL using 120 Hz)
Windows 8 Professional 64 bit
Windows Aero Disabled
No mouse drivers, no antivirus software installed.
Most recommended to disable functions in BIOS are off.

Reporting several hundred or a thousand ms of input lag you don't have is as good as 'doesn't work'.
I've forgotten the name of the input lag checker that does work but I've posted about it before. Would find it if I wasn't just using a phone right now.

Use latencymon to check and disable shadowplay. Shadowplay adds a lot of input lag for quake live. ( it only lags if you check desktop recording)

If you get a DPC checker that does work properly and still think you have a problematic latency, one thing you could do is use windows process explorer to see just about everything the computer is actually doing.

Then you could slowly turn off services and see if they have any effect and see how far you can get and take note of what is actually still running.

"DPC LAtency Checker" reports vastly inaccurate results, and warns as much on its own website.

Make sure you run the game in fullscreen and disable VSync. Check with the in-game FPS counter to see that the game really runs without VSync. For QuakeLive for example, it should show 250 fps after you've set com_maxfps 250. If VSync is enabled, the fps will instead be limited to the monitor's Hz.

In Windows 8, there's no way around the desktop enforcing VSync. This means you must not run games as "borderless windowed" or you will get a massive input lag feeling. With regards to VSync, whatever you set in the game's options or in the NVIDIA control panel will simply get ignored without fullscreen. You always have to double check that you really have a game running without VSync, can't trust the settings.

Dpc latency checker doesn't work with windows 8 or 8.1 . There is nothing wrong with his computer. Stop posting suggestions. They will only likely cause him to mess something up.

This is your best place to check if anyone is having issues with that driver. The nvidia mods are active

Can you confirm you understand the difference between us (microseconds) and ms (milliseconds) ?

It sounds like the problem here is that Windows 8 isn't supported for this program, but if you don't understand the difference between microseconds and milliseconds then you've got other problems :)
