Forgot to add, i'm playing mostly CS GO and LoL, fingertip i think, DPI 1000 is perfect which makes G100S good choice, but i heard about it mixed opinions, some people says thats it is very good, but has low FPS which makes cursor less smooth.

The cursor feel is great. But if you use a low sens you might have trouble with fps games.

g100s - worse sensor, lower max speed, lower lod, u need to replace mouse feet, there is a weight to remove from inside, also sometimes it cursor is moving... itself. DPI seems to be different on different surface... great shape and weight

Abyssus 2014 - great sensor, much higher max speed, high lod... new version also great shape and weight. But I didnt test it.

why do you say you need to replace the g100s feet? i'm using completely stock g100s on a qck+ and i feel no need whatsoever to use different feet. it's smooth as fuck.

they are almost plastic lol, takasta thick ones are awesome :)

DPI is different on different surfaces with all mice, it's just that the g100s shows more variance on the most common colour: Black.

Guys, i just got Razer Abyssus 2014 :) Pretty cheap IMO,~37euro with delivery price. Can't wait to test it :D

Abyssus 2014 on my Goliathus speed and Qck is low, 1-2 CD or smth

but other surface 3-4 CD, with A4 tech mouse pad.

My current abyssus lod on a qck is fine for me but if the abyssus 2014 is higher I might not get it

The Abyssus is dynamite!

They are both very good though, you can't go wrong with either.

whichever is cheaper. you aren't going to notice the difference unless you like to flick at 500 mph.

G100s for life.

have both, abyssus 2014 and g100s. same price. u gotta remove weight from both of them. abys weight is harder to remove tho u need skates ready. the build quality on the g100s is shit, on the abys it's pretty nice. on the sensor, i prefer the abys one fo sure even tho the mouse still tracks 1 meter over the pad at least, my arm doesnt go higher and was too lazy to get up.
razer software is ok, i dont agree with the hate it gets

For the G100s lots of people on Amazon complain that the left mousebutton starting to intermittently not register after a few months. The end is really nigh when even Logitech starts to make bad quality products. My MX310 lasted almost 10 years (and its still working except for the occasional mwheel-up event not registering).

I own both.
Id choose Abyssus easly.
Wether you should get 2014 version or the regular I dont know.
I really dig the regular version tho

okay it's still 3888 (might be a bit old now) sensor but imho it has proven with time that it's a solid and reliable sensor.

1 thing tho, don't use it at 1000hz.

the best possible settings with the aby 2k14 are the default out of the box settings, 1800dpi 500hz. This way you don't have to use synapse either, altho synapse isn't as bad as some people said. If you're used to 400+dpi, well, maybe you might try synapse then or just think this way :

"ok it's time for a change, i will try 1800dpi and just lower my sens ingame, and if i use accel i'll lower the amount of accel aswell to get pretty much the exact same base sens as with my old dpi setting (400+dpi) and same accel feeling"

luckily enough quake allows a sens <1 so if you're a ultra low sens player you can still use something like 0.5 sens ingame.

also, max tracking speed is very high on the abyssus 2k14 so perfect for ultra low sens players imho.

im using 1k hz with no synapse.currently.
after uninstalling synapse its saving this setting.

1k hz seems to be quite ok.
also synapse seems to be ok too.

but i need to make proper test in future.

trust me i tried 1000hz and the tracking is a bit weird sometimes compared to old abyssus @ 1000hz and also compared to 2k14 @ 500hz.

also when i did multiple fast 360° turns, 1 out of 4 turns wasn't accurate, i mean, for example if i look at the rl jumpad @ dm6 and i do a fast 360°, considering that my 360° turn are almost perfect (practice practice practice (c) fatal1ty :D), i should logically end up looking at the middle of the jumppad again. But 1 out of 4 turns i ended up looking at the doorway instead of the middle of the jumppad. Looked like i got negative accel or something like that. Never had this issue @ 1000hz with the old abyssus.

and imho the difference between 500 and 1000hz is so small that you don't even notice it ingame, i mean, the mouse is still very responsive.

so yeah 1800dpi 500hz out of the box = best ;)

You can use the QL accel driver to scale to any DPI you like. I can't feel any lag with it, it's a lot better than synapse.

that driver does the equivalent of the sensitivity notches in windows. it's bad, doesn't feel good at all compared to changing the actual dpi on the mouse.

you could be right, I wasnt that impressed with the g100s either but I love the new g302. All I know is I used my abyssus for LoL and then once I started playing CS again this year I found the tracking v weird in game and the shape was slightly uncomfortable.

g100s has shitty buttons for CS though, at least mine did where when tapping mouse 1 would sometimes register as two clicks instead of one which can put out your recoil and totally fk you over, having said that two members of cloud 9 use it so maybe my mouse was just defected although I get the feeling theyre all like that, I found it perfect for LoL though. The g302 is a dream for CS with a similar shape/size cant recommend enough

well it's pretty hit and miss... two of the three g100s i've used have left click problems. just today in csgo i was holding down mouse1 for a grenade and it let go too early even though the physical switch was still clicked

and then there's the guy from the bst mouse thread who's gone through seven g100s's lol

imo g302 and Abyssus 2014 should be almost the same.
difference should be weight, shape, build quality.

I really like Abyssus shape & weight, perfect for me.

G302 has excellent drivers and on-board memory

what makes a mouse good for a particular person isn't just technical performance though... shape and comfort are definitely things that depend on person preference

but technical performance is the only one what you can compare.

shape & weight of Abyssus and g100s is similiar. I prefer abyssus, more comfortable for me.
