Looks fine enough to me but didn't they say they wanted huds to be modular? Bit confused by the 'final' statement. Doesn't look that polished to me either.
It could pass without the black panels, they're pretty redundant. A modern minimalist hud like in cs:go would be more suiting, and also the health/armor font + color gradient is just ugly.
Well it's literally updated everyday, no need to hate... I hope you Quakers get one day something as interactive with your devs =) .
You can check the updates/reviews at any given times here: https://forums.unrealtournament.com/showthrea...ad-Part-II
nobody is hating its just that majki made it sound like its official final version which in its current state its laughable.
Anyway with their current model of development I would be amazed if the process looked any different. As for your comment the comparison to a basically dead game (development wise) is completely off. Oh and so you know if you play football being a fan of Barcelona doesnt make you a better player.
Then Majki should stop quiproquo generating posts.
You can check the posts and the new HUDS almost everyday, on the forum thread I gave you, you could yourself check instantaneously how it's going and even give your feedback to improve it ;) .
For the rest of your message related to "i hope you quakers etc..." it was not meant to be hateful or anything. I think it's really a chance to have the opportunity to take part in the process, and i wished you the same (no hidden message or tease or anything).
Our devs are busy snorting cocaine off of our collective hopes and dreams, collaboration isn't really on the charts. Carmack doesn't even work at id anymore, and he had a lot to do with the awesome engines that produced Quake's hallmark style.
