yes i had 6gv2 but that was quite a long time ago. Some keys broke so I had to replace it, then i bought ozone strike.

mousepad not fully under the keyboard to give me more space for the mouse, as simple as that :D

I play at 1800dpi(default) 500hz plug&play driverless with latest firmware (out of the box). Malfunction speed is around 5.48m/s.

I have sensitivity 1 ingame, with windows sens 6/11 but also in_mouse 2 so windows sens doesn't matter :p. It's like 23.5cm/360�. No accel.

The mouse performs best at default settings, or at least default usb polling rate which is 500hz. It doesn't have onboard memory so if you change your dpi settings you're forced to use synapse 2.0. Only the usb polling rate setting is remembered even if you uninstall the driver (synapse). But I wouldn't recommend using 1000hz because it's not really stable and also results in some tracking issues as well as something that i would call probably negative accel when you do very fast and large movements (in my case I tested it with multiple very fast 360� turns, as well as 180� turns and also normal "tracking", like keeping the crosshair on the target).
So yeah, at 1000hz you get some minor tracking issues as well as negative accel, at least on a goliathus speed edition.

At 500hz, it's just perfect, the mouse responsivness and accuracy is awesome, just like with the old abyssus if not better. There's like MAXIMUM 1.25ms difference between 1000hz and 500hz so really using anything which is not 500hz with this mouse is pretty much stupid :p.

The build quality of the abyssus 2k14 is also better than the old abyssus, you can feel it even when you hold the mouse. Side grips are quite nice aswell.
Shape is awesome, I think that for the 1st time i don't get fingers pain after intensive usage of a mouse.
I find it more comfortable to hold than the old abyssus. The sides of the mouse are less "agressive" than the old one.

So yeah, in my case, I'm very satisfied by my aby 2k14 and I played for more than 1 year with the old aby ;).
But like I said, if you want 1000hz, forget this mouse (at least on a goliathus speed). And if you want to change the default 1800dpi, then you're forced to use synapse, but I heard/read somewhere, that some people did it already and synapse didn't cause any particular issue.

No matter how shitty Synapse 2.0 is, I'm pretty certain that Razer at least made sure that changing the DPI won't render your device completely useless.

I prefer 400 DPI tbh, have always played like that.

I've only owned it for a month now so I can't really speak fully on the durability, but overall I am really satisfied with it. It sort of 'forces' decent posture, which is weird at first but after a couple days you don't notice it and it's extremely comfortable.

Again, since I haven't owned it for too long I can't fully attest to how long it'll last, but thus far it shows literally zero sign of wear. Prior to this I used to own ~$150 OfficeMax chairs and stuff where the cushioning would typically be pretty dead within a couple months and I don't foresee that happening with this, the material is much different and seems more durable.

I also like the range of motion it has for when I want to relax and watch Netflix or something.

I haven't really used other chairs in the same price range though either so I can't necessarily weigh on it compared to similarly priced chairs.

there is no argument, retard. mechanical switches are physically superior to rubber dome switches, and the good thing is that if you don't like a particular switch, there are ten other kinds you can try. i'm not one of these newschool idiots who only know about mechanical keyboards because of razer's or steelseries', so please direct your 'i tried this one and i didn't like it therefore rubber dome is better' ignorance somewhere else. i've been using mechanical keyboards for around seven years (and they all still work as well as the day i bought them, unlike rubber dome keyboards :^).) i use them because i like them, not because some huge gaymer brand put truckloads of cash into marketing them.

inb4 nuked because i used a word that might (rightfully so) hurt someone's feelings. i miss the days when the internet wasn't one giant hugbox.

no. relatively high actuation force + long travel time = bad for games compared to most cherry switches. mx red is probably the best for games as it's linear and has, afaik, the lowest actuation force of all modern switches along with mx brown.

That Trinitron brought back some bittersweet memories. I actually miss the sheer weight of that CRT and can't believe I got rid of it when I moved.
My eyes were conditioned to ignore those two grille wires you can see during refresh, but the responsiveness and that "CRT wash" were just magical. :/

Haha, yeah, the damping wires. They are only really noticable against a bright background though. I use the monitor exclusively for movies and games, so I hardly notice them.
Text work LCD are more suited for anyways.

I got lucky and found both this and a LaCie electronblue22IV in pristine condition in my general area a few years back. Wouldn't want to miss them, but I can see how moving might make you want to throw them out.

Nah you get used to it. The picture is a bit older though, I don't use the apple keyboard anymore. I use a mini chiclet keyboard now.

Yep. I do have a 2nd thrift store Dell flat screen over to my left now. Benq xl2411z... CL... trash keyboard. Mechanical can piss off. I'm probably going to make a template to lay under the keys so they don't push passed the actuation point.

I got a pretty decent surround sound for Records/Movies as well :D!

It's a pretty amazing place if you like Mountain Biking or Hiking.
That 72 ft canyon backflip on youtube was done on the back side of that dark hill in my last pic.

Living in an RV is amazing. People ask me "what about this? or this?" Usually the answer is, I don't need it, or it's better than how they have it. Toilet 3 steps away from desk? Yes please. King size bed loft? More space than I've ever had.

The only reason I think I would ever stop is because I want to have a family. I probably spent less on this RV with 80k miles and no water damage with a kickin' A/C than most of the people here posting pics did on their setup.

The insulation is a little iffy. I've got a 1600watt electric space heater (bad idea) that I turn on/off periodically. My feet will be a little cold while I'm at my desk, but I will get hot enough to sweat here and there. I've got a smaller electric heater that I keep on 24/7 with a fan pointed toward my bed/loft. I tried keeping the 1600 on all night and it was hard to sleep from the heat. I cuddled up against the chill of my front window to keep cool.

I have a propane heater that would keep everything very nicely warm, but the pilot is faulty. I don't exactly want to blow the whole thing up when it kicks on because of a propane leak.

tl;dr
When it's -10, I'm quite comfortable in a long sleeve shirt and socks. If my propane heater was working, I'd be naked all night.

It is currently 1-2c outside.
At my desk it is 29.5
At my feet is 17
And my bed loft is 37.5 (lol) It's the highest point so all of the heat ramps up into it along the ceiling.

At night it would be safe to subtract 10-15 off of all of those

A lot of gradual and incremental top shell bending. I don't think it is 100% fixed, but definitely more usable. The right click will actuate under less pressure and tends to trigger first. For the first 5 minutes of use, I have to get used to clicking with more force/speed to rocket jump, but at least I can get the buttons to sync up now. I'm still not confident in making max height rocket jumps despite all of this. It's a shame the rest of the mouse is so great, or I could have just binned it and moved on.

The weird part is I only have problems when I turn left to rocket jump. The amount of force I use must change depending on which way my wrist tilts.

Might as well post. Sorry for the terrible quality. The keyboard which you can't see anyway was replaced with a gifted Steelseries Apex [RAW] over Christmas.

And I can't actually use the WMO for Quake since it USB disconnects/reconnects when I move it too fast

Yeah I'm considering it, but waiting for them to ship their new X7 USB solution for review before I purchase something else! I do love the HD700's even through the ZxR, but then I think it's the standard Sennheiser sound that I love (coming from HD598). There's probably another level I'm not hearing yet so I'm open to ideas. Anything specific you'd recommend? I purchased them at a ridiculously good price (couldn't wait) with plans on dealing with a dedicated Amp if needed later, i'm no "Audiophile" but more a Sennheiser fan in that respect.

also what monitor do you use to view it, are you sure your lcd (lcds have shit colors to begin with) is properly calibrated to tell the color difference :) ?

No idea what you try to prove with those links odellus, i already told you my monitor is calibrated and the reason you see it as you do on my picture is a)because quality of photo is bad b)it was day at the time of photo and sunlight is reflecting from the screen.
On a picture you linked to, red and blue colors are uncalibrated thats why everything is green, i dont have any of that problems, as in calibration tests i can tell difference between even 4%red from 6% red (just an example).
Anyway, looking at your previous posts ur a forum troll, w/e u win as i wasted my time replying.

this is plain g100s, I couldnt get used to the one i made with g302 pcb cause sensor is 1cm more forward placed on it and i simply missed all rails with it despite having the same physical sensitivity. Eventhough i kinda liked the sensor and it's 800cpi/1000hz more than 1000cpi/500hz
I got palm/claw grip and asian salmosa is too small, usual salmosa/abyssus are fine but i kinda prefer g100s with more vertical sides

I had dt770 before that and they sound pretty much the same, although the bass is slightly better on mmx300 due to the fact that i dont have an amp(just raw creative titanium hd output) and mmx300 is 32ohm opposing to dt770's 250ohm
I only bought it cause it was like 200$ at one of the local stores after russian rouble collapsed and my dt770 were like 8 years old

Not a new setup... but changed Razer Salmosa asian (jigglystyle)
to Sensei(original one)with removed LED/Mouse4/5/6/7/LCD
i guess its like 80g..
it is like a new wmo. bigger, better.
the acceleration pops up when it is 1.5m/s+higher depending on mousepad/surface/dust/etc,. So it is really a wmo,. ahhaha
flaw after 1.5m/s, but it is good enough to keep it.. awesome shape for other games too. and i made lightweight enough for ql.

on the xai or g9x it was random accel, not just after you hit a certain speed. I already noticed it with high sensitivty back then.
Also a wmo doesn't have the collect dust problem (which is even worse than the accel issues IMO)

Yeah the capacitors died on my old secondary (classic 226bw move apparently) so I just said fuck it and got another pair of 27 inchers. Amazingly cheap when just looking for extra space and not needing high gaming/whatever performance. Frankly it was an impulse decision to go with two instead of three (just because they were so cheap) and I didn't really know what the point of a third monitor would be but in hindsight I'm glad, it's been very convenient to have.

Remember Terranigma very fondly but it's been sooo long since we even had that cartridge that I've forgotten most details, Was probably too young to appreciate it but I recall it getting pretty emotional at some point? I'll probably see if there's a good Let's Play or something out there. I used a 226bw in Kuwait, the capacitors on mine blew around 2010, went to a decent laptop/PC repair shop, I told them exactly what the issue was after finding out that it's pretty common on the internet and they fixed it for like 10-20 euros and the monitor is still working fine.

Got the Ergotron LX, which is just 'OK' imo for that price, next time gonna look at the chinese knockoffs more closely.
Also I work with my old Boomslang 2007, as it's the most comfortable mouse ever. Got the Abyssus for gaming, but really need something wider, but not longer, for lefties, fingertip style. Dunno if the Zowie FK could make me happy... I got big hands, open for any suggestions.

maybe you might want to try the abyssus 2014 ? It's not the same shape as the old one, the sides are larger/less agressive it's a bit more comfortable to hold imho. And also sides grips :)

what settings do you use with the old abyssus ? I guess 1800dpi 1000hz considering that you got 2 large lcd monitors, and that 450dpi might be too low in the desktops at least :)
if it's the case, then try the aby 2k14, it's cheap and works flawlessly at default settings (1800dpi 500hz), plug & play. If you want to use other dpi values then you're forced to install synapse tho, I mean if you're using 400 or 2000+dpi :). I didn't try it with synapse so can't say if it works flawlessly at custom settings.

so yeah, if you like the old abyssus a lot then get yourself the 2014 version :), like i said, it's cheap, so if you don't like it you can still sell it or i dunno.... :D

but yeah, maybe the FK1 can be nice for you aswell... Never tried this mouse but i had the FK old edition for some months and i liked it (but i think i prefer the simpleness of the aby 2k14, i mean, no sides buttons, smaller, lighter etc :))

I played for 5 years with the boomslang, tf2 and q3. It was atricious. But I payed �80 for the first one, so I had to make it work. The problem is the too high LOD, combined with a shape not supposed to be lifted, that kinda eleminates it for gaming. Yes, I bought a second one, but just for �20, as nobody wanted them.

- Logitech somewhat shitty mouse with extension cord
- Razer Boomslang ballmouse from 2001 i think
i really dont understand how i could play with that thing back then. (i assume i sucked even more than i do now)

I made this from a kitchen work surface. It's chipboard with a laminate finish, cost 27 euros for 2.5mx0.6m, I cut off a 1.5m piece and I had some ikea legs from my last desks. Literally took me like 20 minutes to put together. It feels solid, looks good imo. 27 euros!

I do yep! Bit disheartened at the mo by the lack of content.. Too much grinding (trading). For some people that's part of the enjoyment but I see it as more of a means to an end. However there isn't really an 'end', as in something to do with your uber ship, right now...

I still play a bit, I'm sure the game will only get better with time - as they add more content. :)

Im thinking of getting a controller and the game although it probably will consume many hours :p I played the original Elite game but watch alot of the Twitch streams. The head tracking is cool too and not too expensive and you can voice control some of the stuff with 3rd party app (cheap) Will have a look on ebay:)

They're quite good actually, I had the Sennheiser HD280 Pro for a long time, and bought these for a replacement.. Imo they're better for music but a bit worse for gaming ,specially because they have a lot of more bass. What I basically do is having different equalizers for gaming/music.. but sometimes i forget to switch :\

In terms of overall construction/comfort/design they're superior to HD280 pro. A bit too bassy for gaming though :\ If it was today I still dont know if I picked those or bought another pair of hd280 pro =) they've got pros and cons.

There's no way of going back to CRT anyways. Still have my old samtron 19" on my basement. It did 100hz @ 1024x768 but most of the time i played 75/75 with vsync enabled back in the days (SOF1+2) I was fine with 1280x1024@ 85 hz on desctop. But not after i used this multi monitor setup for ages. (2233rz/T220)

Just cool to know the advantages of my quake opponents /just kidding ;P
