I actually lowered my sens and turned off the accel for aircontrol games because it makes me feel more confident with the movement. But im just a noob.

Some cpmers(myself included) did use higher sensitivities, but on the other hand finns... It comes down to styles, if you up your sens you're gonna wanna reposition yourself constantly, flick a lot, use more combos, etc. If you lower it you're gonna have to slow down a bit and play a slower, vq3 stand-your-ground style, hit those pixels, etc. Bottom line is it's just a choice.

Accel is generally not used due to aircontrol imho(which in turn is what makes the pace faster).

stick to a sensitivity that feels confortable to you and just practice.

I wouldn't recommend using anyone else's sensitivity. Just keep increasing/decreasing it gradually every week (1 or 2 cms each time) till you find a good balance between accuracy and comfort

I use a higher sens when I am playing air control games as well. I use 40cm/360 + accel in QL but when I use that in air control games and I want to turn a corner I have to move my mouse slowly, so the accel has basically no effect.

If I would want to make a 180 turn with 40cm for example, I would have to move my mouse 20cm which is already half my mousepad so I must lift up my mouse which takes time. In QL-like physics its very different because you move your mouse with flicks while moving around.

Yeah air control really changes how you move your mouse. I use 28cm/360 no accel in QL but feel a lot more comfortable in Quakeworld at 20cm/360 (same applies to Promode I imagine). Aerowalk is a nice map to test on with its wonderful arcing paths and loops.

I used the same between CPM/Q4/Q3/QL/etc....

I sucked at everything but CPM though, sooooo.....

yeah I'm more of a mid-low sens at 30 cm, i'm definitely more of the slow aimbot turret style. nice to know there's a place for that in CPMA.

He doesn't have to play like that with 30cm/360 though, his sens should be fine for more or less everything as long as he's willing to move his arm.

yeah 30 is still managable. I would like to go a little higher, but I lose all control in an LG duel with even 27 cm. maybe i'm naturally a low sens person.

How Hal and Stermy do amazing 40-45% LG with 22 or 23 cm/360, i don't understand x_x they must have robotic wrists.

I've rarely seen HAL reach such percentages, HAL is more about rail anyway.

Just use whatever you feel comfortable with.
I can aim pretty well at around 15-12cm/360 but I don't use it because it feels a bit too tiring, around 20-24cm/360 depending on mouse weight and shape is where I don't feel limited or fatigued, in some extreme cases like my old sawed abyssus which was like 50g I used 27-30cm/360.

i'm actually surprised-- maybe it's a matter of practice, but I tried 27 cm and it made my hand tired faster than 30, haha.

I used write stuff with a very small handwriting when I was in primary school because I felt like it, stuff that should have been on 2 lines I'd compress to 1/2 - 3/4 of a line and it was still intelligible to me.

That might be a contributing reason to my comfort at higher sensitivities, but people have different arms and hands, different strength and flexibility with their ligaments it's only natural that we'd use different setups when it comes to mouse sensitivity.

Also it's important have your muscles relaxed when making very small adjustments, this is why high mouse sensitivity isn't necessarily a good thing because you can't always keep yourself from tensing up, or you might just get nervous or anxious and then having issues keeping your hand steady also due to tensing.

Air control, larger hitboxes and greater emphasis on rockets compelled me to use a higher sensitivity in both CPM and QW.
