Here in North-West Germany the evening started with an icy rain and slippery roads are expected. Hopes are down for an early arrival of spring. The cold air is beautifully fragrant though. Be careful on the roads.
We've had snow in the north of Scotland over the weekend! (am even was make snow angel like men - pic in twatter banner https://twitter.com/ShadyVoltaire )
Its the same here in southwest netherlands :( slippery roads are coming up according to the news sites, snow, hail, icey rain.. Sigh.. Standard february shit it seems. Take care fellow quakelovers )
Thick layer of ice on car windows this morning. On both sides, in and out. There was a bright piercing sun later which I enjoyed with a cup of coffee behind large windows.
no, it's USA's way of ruining Russia. when you think about it, this was the plan all along. Russia's economy relies on gas exports to the EU. By global warming ur actually heating up the planet for the time being therefore cutting down on demand for russia's gas. which in return has a great negative impact on russia's economy.
that's why USA never signed the Kyoto agreement for reducing CO2 levels. i think we all now KNOW why it wasn't signed.
Always nice here on the Spanish peninsula - I live in Villajoyosa - literally translating as 'the joyful town'
I worked feckin hard over the years to be able to semi-retire out here and I'm glad I made the move away from the overly infested United Kingdom....
I'm presently tanning my little potats on the balcony - as naked as the day I was born - it's only 17c in the shade here but pleasantly warm in the sunshine - windy here by the beach front but I'm sheltered enough to get a few hours of harosh bathing between 13:37 & 15:37
Bloody cold at nights though - I awoke this morning to 7c brrrrrrr
As for permanent I'd say try it for 12 months - see how it goes - I've been coming to Spain for 30 years so I thought I knew what to expect - I was right on some things - wrong on others.
Save some $$$ and like ins said. "follow your dreams"
(but have some $$$ spare just in case the move turns sour, ie don't burn all of your bridges back home prior to leaving - think safety net)
One year later after the first post, there is spring in the air. The birds are chirping and temperatures are slightly above 10°C. There was a little bit of sun this morning.
