- Cubebot might be my favourite bot

- The custom blocks seem really cool. I am keen to see how they work with textures but I can see people making some cool stuff with them

- The gameplay in terms of loadouts sounds like tribes (backpacks, grenades, classes)

- I assume 2 of the 3 movement systems are vq3 and cpm but I forgot to spam the chat with that question

- I like blink and hook (provided they are limited which he said they are). I'm unsure about grav change or charge (I dont understand what charge is)

- I like the idea of replacing GL with tactical grenades (one of the parts about CS I actually like). I imagine it will be super difficult to hit enemies with grenades so gameplaywise I think grenades that serve functional purposes would be good

Stuff like smokes, grenades that block off areas or work as traps rather than grenades that you have to throw at an opponent. I imagine reborn would be fast enough that most grenade throws that need to hit an enemy will just be spam that you throw and hope unless they serve functional purposes in which case they will be thrown with a clear tactical intention (like throwing a wall grenade down a corridor to block the entry point or something).

A sensor grenade would be cool too. Something that triggers an alarm on the players hud when an enemy walks into its radius (you could thrown them onto armours or into corridors to plan traps). But I suppose that isnt even a grenade anymore and just a deployable item.

Since Reflex was out, 2GD started to show us reborn....

I'm mainly concerned with the balancing of all of this. Sure' its cool but how are all the different bots going to interact with each other in like a clan arena type game mode. Which classes will match up well, which won't? which will be OP vs some and horridly weak vs others? how does one become a consistent player in that game? By knowing which bot to use when (Like in dota or LoL which unit counters which) etc etc. I also think different robots as they may be different classes, should be able to pick their type of grenade rather than being restricted to one to their own.. As much as that sounds like a new loadout system (woooo), Also, robots should be restricted on their specific movement ability (blink, charge, etc), but grenades u should be allowed to pick. I feel like there's too many games in 1 game in Reborn. Reborn can be its own unique thing but it's trying to be too many things at once. It's like a Dota + quake mix, but I think that's why Im hopeful for it, is because it's an innovation, we haven't necessarily seen a game such as this at this speed. Until ofc overwatch comes out lol

He said he plans to introduce everything and then dial it back so I think the ideas he wrote down are just a mess of all his trains of thought. What will make it into the final game might be much less complicated.

Wait so are all the bots gonna be egg or cubes etc? Isn't it cooler to have the previous ideas he had for the models but have egg bot as a mascot or something.

I'm in two minds about it. On the one hand the eggbots have personality and arent just boring generic sci fi robots that weve seen a million times.

On the other hand they are a little silly and might make the game feel like a Despicable Me arena fps

The original design was cool but a little bland and I would totally buy an eggbot action figure which I suppose is a sign that they are interesting to me.

That's exactly my thoughts, just seems silly if thats the direction they go in even though I want egg bot xD. Maybe the bots can be like digimon and whenever you die you are reborn into an eggbot and you have to evolve into a meaner tougher design lol

EDIT: Even Jame's wingman idea would suit the eggbots more.

EDIT: Actually the more I think about it the more it makes sense. Developing a game you should follow a consistent theme right and for Reborn its literally being reborn. So things like phoenixes and eggs and shit is consistent with that aesthetic. So eggbot needs to be a thing, just how much of a thing I don't know.

I like all the ideas and shit but this fucking project is moving way 2 slow. It'll either come out in 2018 or die off soon and never be released.

I want a Notabot, Eggbot with a human mask.

It has to be renamed to the Teeworlds 3D.
