plug and play is fine. i needed tape fix to keep mouse from skipping during fast swipes with a lift. worked fine after that then I spilled my beer on it. didn't work fine after that.

didnt have problems with my black cloths (even textured like goliathus control) or my shiden (white glass hybrid pad).

Rather than making one, you should probably invest in fingerless arm glove things. Just disregard the fact that they're targeted towards women, you can find some that look gender-neutral ones, like the ones below.

You can definitely find things like these a lot cheaper elsewhere, like on eBay and such. You can also get them in different kinds of materials, right now I have two pairs, a black one like the link related, and one that is cable knitted (and much thicker).

I think this is a little bit weird, but I always wear these when playing games now because feeling the mousemat on my hands and arm feels so very strange and off-putting, when I'm trying to move my mouse.

When I first started using one of these things, they felt pretty damn tight and it felt as though my hand was suffocating, but after an hour or two of use they tend to loosen up. If you get thicker ones then they could double up as some form of a wrist rest, they make typing a bit comfier as well.

the arm cloth thing is overrated imo, but the mouse should be fine if u use 800 or 1600 dpi. ur talent should be just fine for the mouse

Don't install the software it can break the mouse.

use 800dpi.

if you absolutely need to, install the software, set the polling to 1000hz (default is 500hz which is 100% stable), then uninstall. DON'T touch anything else. :D

regarding the mousepads, it's a personal preference, but any of the usual top cloths shoud work marvelously: qck heavy, old goliathus control, allsop raindrop, puretrak talent..
