You move it mainly with whole palm but holding it with fingers. Dunno about tox, but this is how cypher, avek, cooller and a lot of russian school players holding their mice.

Just suits their style. Look how they aim: lots of flicks and weird angles but can show good tracking with lg when needed as well.
