Bought from the same seller, it was ok for me. It has nothing to do with steelseries its just a decoration on it.
I had an other WMO and comparing the two they felt a bit different sensorwise.
I was using this one for about a month and left mouse button broke also the paint on it got visible signs of wear (I bought a white one).
The other "original" WMO is still working and I have no problems with it.
Recently I was thinking about buying a backup WMO just in case so if anyone knows a good seller let me know.

Yep, you have the wrong WMO. It's not a fake, some people go for looks instead of performance and would rather have a glossy wmo with steelseries written on it.


Of all the WMOs you pick the one which has all the shady aspects, and red flags, pitty.

What's the S/N on the back?
On the other hand, it won't help us much because it might as well have the original S/N and different PCB.

Should have gone for one with transparent bottom cover, that way you ensure that you have the post 2005 model.

the seller "takasta" is actually known to be legit.
maybe they didn't put the mouse back together right, after they obviously had to dissemble it for paintjob.

remove both lower mousefeet and unscrew it, to open, then you can check.
(mousefeet won't get unusable by removing, you can just put them back then)

bought a red matte one from him.
it was pretty ok.
