I don't get one thing about QL. WHY? Why they make QL this way?
Why QL isn't the new CPMA? Why Reflex is new CPMA?

Funny, no one remembers that QL was just a pet project of Carmack to get Q3 to run on the web. It was never going to be anything more.

Why do some people take it so serious then? i mean i dont disagree with you that id devs never cared about ql but i see some people like yakumo spend 23hours a day on ql. they must have thought ql was going to do much betyer than it ended up doing. i think in the end it is safe to say that ql was a huge dissapointment and giant waste of time and money for zenimax. i would be shocked if they poured any more funds into a futute id project

I wouldn't say the id devs "didn't care". It's just that everyone had out-sized expectations for a small, low priority project from id.

The old IPs still have value. Just look at Wolfenstein and Doom.

Netcode is gold. Anything up to 80ms feels like LAN, so aim where you want your poop to fly. After 80 you'll need to lead by ping.

Except for projectiles, those are a bit wonky when it comes to hitting directs and mid-airs.

Reflex has good netcode but this just isn't true. Playing at 75ms feels extremely shit compared <20ms
