Its good. I watched the first 3 episodes and it was solid

i saw some interview time ago, and they are suppose to phase to a new mulder and scully some where, but they look the same as the old actors

They are called by fbi after 10-15 years to come back and work x-files again

its some spin off thing, its easier to just kill off mulder and scully and keep the x-files name

be all like, mulder finally gets abducted, and half way up in the ufo beam the power fails and he falls back to earth and dies, and scully is 30 seconds too late and is all muuuuuuuuuuuuulderrrrrrrrrrr

Except Samantha's fate and whereabouts had been explained ages ago in an episode called Closure I think during season 7.

This kind of Samantha plot trick just wouldnt do it for me. The closure episode was actually very decently done. She was subjected to tests her whole childhood and teenage by smoking man and got supposedly saved by those ghostly entities.

I actually was confused and annoyed when during the first episode of the new series Scully talks to Mulder about his quest for Samantha. Didn't make sense at ALL for Scully to say that to Mulder.

Yes she was abducted, but that doesn't mean Mulder didn't find out what happened to her. Which he did eventually. :P

who knows, if they bring back the hackers, a new season don`t need all the hollywood cool trip hop think they are hacker kids, rodney mckay should be 1 of them

Honestly I don't think there was closure in that episode. I mean the smoking man is the person we are trusting and there are clones of her.

i liked the first 4 episodes. .. ep3 is already the comic relief one... like old days.

it was ok but they are relying a lot on the nostalgia of the characters, the first 3 episodes had the typical consparanoia shit but they were A LOT around mulder and scully, a way more personal approach rather than sci-fi stuff.

I hope it changes but it seems like -SPOILER ALERT- they will be looking for their lost baby the entire season while they work at fbi again. I cba with that shit tbh.

i also like how mulder the character has grown over his passion (somewhat) over "x-files" and is mildly sarcastic about it.

Also the producton is very entertaining about the whole x-files series aka.: mulder wakes up with the ring tone of x-files music -that gave me a nice laugh.

i always loved the "comic relief" episodes of a season, except E03 one was somewhat important, because it rejuvenated mulders hope to belive.

imho the series is pretty decent though.

In general I dislike how some episodes are (almost) complete fillers and in others the story goes way too fast (for a series).
Overall it's pretty ok.

Ep 2 was really good... Almost the old x-files episodes (even though there was little progression in the overall story line, there at least was some + a nice mixture of 'irregular occasions')

If you'd compare it to something like DCs legends of tomorrow it pwnz but if you compare it to the old x-files it's mediocre (some of the old x-files were also mediocre)

6 episodes says fox did`nt want to spend too much money on a flop for the x-files name sake

it would be like bringing stargate universe back, and finding out whos the ship that takes off at the end of the in the credits in the first episode

well... I don't think it would work quite like that.

I dunno what they made from the past season... But I would guess that the rights of having "The X-Files" attached to it would cost a fair deal of what it made.
(for example anything that the new season makes as profit -> you will leave the original team 50%)

If the economy would be fairly consistent then it should need 90 - 95% of investment vs the 100% gain ;)

Investing 20m and gaining 500m would seem illogical. (or extremely profitable in which case I should've made the deal)

its the x-files, tv channels bid once more, the more money they bid the faster the series can be on your channel, if a channel does`nt have alot of money, they will get it in a few years, so on channel 5 in the uk, the x-files is sponsored by the new hit man game, which probably gave them a extra $500k to bring it to the uk a few months after the usa aired it

I always figured that FOX was a separate tv-station rather than having anything to do with production of any kind of tv show.

I wouldn't know though... I did find the name correlation striking (but never went into it).
