So, guys, I played 4 hours straight of reflex tonight. And... only CA :D

there is many maps already including overkill, dm6++, larger version of hellsgate, ztn, aerowalk and some reflex exclusive maps that look very pretty :) and play good aswell.

you want to know what i think about this game ? It rox.
i can get 300fps stable np (but i play with fps cap at 250, just like in ql), the game is smooth as hell. I like the GFX on the reflex exclusive maps, it looks good, clean and simple. I like the movements (only thing i miss is autohop :p), it's basically cpm with some tweaks there and here. The netcode seems very good, better than ql. The weapons feel nice, it's not exactly like cpm but it makes sense and works very well imho.
It's easy to set up your config using the menu, i made mine in 2min :D, i have almost exactly the same settings than in ql. I like a lot the crosshairs options, looks more complete than ql.
For an alpha version i have to say that it went higher than my expectations. Ofc it's not perfect, still misses some config options, sounds etc... But it was still a very fun experience.

I will definitely play more of it next time :)

Is it better than QL ? Can't say yet, need to play more of it, and also, hopefully the game will reach final version someday :), with everything promised (matchmaking, friendlist, more cvars, even better GFX, even more content, more sounds etc). Like i said, as it is right now, it still misses some features that QL or even CPM have, but for a 10€ game it's a lot of fun and definitely very very playable.

pls guys, don't play overwatch, play more reflex instead. I know this world is ruled by money money money, only money, and that blizzard has enough of it to make its game very popular/successful, but never forget where you come from... QUAKE!!!!!
Play with the heart, play quake or any game derivated from it (cpm, warsow, reflex) and not some AAA title made for 12 years old gamers.

or if you want to play a blizzard game, play either broodwar or starcraft 2, this is where blizzard belongs, they know how to make very skillful, complete and fun RTS games. Blizzard = RTS. OW =/= RTS, so don't play it :D

all that to say : support reflex and buy the game even if you play it only from time to time. Give it some love <3

My biggest complaint concerning ql is the netcode.

Lately ive been playing reflex, q2 and CS 1.6 exclusively. I still run ql servers for Seattle cause it's still quake and I want to contribute in any way I can. But I've lost interest in ql.

Quake live has no soul.

Yes when it came out it was cheap but very powerfull. I wonder if with this specs i could play duel with 120fps and some medium gfx settings.

well i signed into the game after a few months, game is coming along awesome.

-mouse accel vs sensitivity section, with a chart for how it's affecting your input.
-override color of friendlies and enemies now. stilll prefer full on lime green sport keel. still playable.
-19 hud widgets to tweak.
-low graphics is gorgeous. empty server browser :( but joined a duel server to jump around and within a couple minutes two guys showed up. must be lurking.
- gun model left/right/center/off in the menu. i was thinking i would have to google the command and fuck around for a while, what a nice surprise. minor feature, but nice effort.
-SG'd a guy in the face, wow that fucker sounds good. barrel rotates after you shoot, feels great. after Q1 and Q2, Q3's shotty sounded like a little love tap.

--the main menu looks beautiful now. fucking Quakelive's 70's colored construction paper from southpark. maybe minor, but the first thing you see is a beautiful menu, nice graphics and sweet ominous halflife 2ish music. i'm used to seeing Ranger's ugly fucking mug on QLs menu, minus like 3 chromosomes. guy seriously looks like he got dropped as a kid. and i fucking love ranger.
-and a to-do list on the main menu where the devs are scratching off priorities as they go along.

i would make more bullet points but what else can i say, the gameplay pretty much is already there. movement was good, weapons worked like they should.

the guys are really trying, the graphics look wonderful, the game play was so close to quake. aside from the timers debacle, which is an easy fix, the guys really got it right. i guess we'll see if CPMA can be populated once again. if there really is an unbridgeable gap between quake and reflex, maybe you will just be left behind. they even have a fucking merch store with item timer swag. come on guys.
